BREAKING NEWS! We have action at Fix A Friend! The lift company has severed the building from the concrete slab and has raised it the first several inches. We expect them to begin the actual lift early next week.

SUPPLIES WE ALWAYS NEED

Some of our friends have asked what sort of supplies we need. Because of our limited storage space, we can't accept any other items yet. But we can always use newspapers (newsprint pages, not glossy inserts) and 12x12 disposable p*e pads. 6033 Ocean Hwy. E, Winnabow. Does anyone know a diesel mechanic who can come to the clinic? The mobile/clinic won’t start and needs to be jumped, but we do not know how and don’t want to damage it if we do it wrong. Call Jill at (910) 620-3783.

FIXING AS FAST AS WE CAN!
Here’s a brief report for the best community ever: Your unwavering support since Fix a Friend’s flash flood Sept. 19 has encouraged and enabled us to continue our mutual war on pet overpopulation in the area. Waiting to raise and repair the old building has led to creating and adapting to perform as many spay/neuter surgeries as possible.

We’ve used two loaned mobile units, built an operating suite in a storage building, switched from canopies to tents to protect computers, brought in industrial heaters and solar lights when winter closed in, laid artificial turf when rain brought mud. Two factors made this progress possible: your donations and our people—Fix a Friend staff and Adopt an Angel volunteers.

We are clawing our way back toward the number of surgeries we need to do. Watching improvements to the old building move forward should spur us to even higher production. Thank you for your support and dedication. Take care of your animals, and we’ll get to their appointments as soon as we can!

We wanted to share a video update of the clinic and where we are in our rebuilding stage. If you would like to donate to help us rebuild please donate at www.adoptanangel.net. We are the largest spay/neuter clinic in all of Southeastern NC providing access to low cost spay/neuter to over 40 rescue groups and the public. We were flooded 9/16/24 in an unnamed storm with 100 surgery patients that were evacuated by boat. #FIXAFRIENDSTRONG

Aurora with Adopt-An-ANGEL is snoozing away and dreaming of her furever home. She did say she would wake up and play anytime tonight if someone wanted to come see her!
