We have two adorable little puppies who will be up for adoption once they get a bit bigger and healthier. Brownie (male) and Coffee (female) are pitbull mix and are still very young.
I think they are going to have some beautiful brindle coloring 😍

As many of you know, the Sioux Falls humane society is beyond full. We have a couple dogs in our area looking for a home also (see previous post about Buck and Bo). Many other dogs are available through shelters in the surrounding areas, including Rescues Unlimited in Gregory and Paws Animal Rescue in Pierre.
Summer is a great time of year to add a pet to your family. Please consider adopting one of the many many animals currently waiting for a family 💞🐾

💫 UPDATE: Bo and Buck have found homes💫

Bo is a border collie/blue heeler and Buck is a yellow lab. These two one year old, intact males are looking for a new home. They have been together since they were puppies, so we would love to see them stay together. They could possibly be separated if it is for the right homes! They are young and active breeds, so they need a place where they have room to run and play.

🐾 Duke is one of the chillest dogs that loves to go on adventures or even just hang out indoors. He gets along with most dogs and plays well with my dog that’s currently in the home. He is a big, lovable goofball but very curious when he sees another dog or person around 🐾

Duke is currently being fostered in Arizona, but transportation could be arranged to get him here to South Dakota, which is where his foster mom is originally from. He is about 60lbs and 2 years old. Up to date on shots and already neutered!

HONEY 🍯 ADOPTION PENDING

This girl is ready for her forever family! She is a young, unknown mixed breed. She has had her first puppy shots and dewormer as well as flea/tick treatment.
We do not know her exact age, so it’s hard to guess what her size will be when full grown.
She is everything you’d expect a puppy to be, especially now that she is feeling good and used to having a full belly! She is playful, sweet, and adorable.

Alright guys…
Henry has been staying with us as the family he was matched with was in the process of moving. They are having reservations about adopting.
I want to make it very clear that this is absolutely no fault of Henry’s!
Henry has been with us since the beginning of January. He is a one year old lab/german short haired pointer cross. We love our time together, but he deserves the chance to get moved in with his forever family.
If you are interested in meeting, adopting, or even fostering Henry, please reach out! I will include the adoption application in the comments.
He is up to date on shots, has been neutered, comes when called, walks well on and off leash, does well with dogs, cats, children of all ages, horses, chickens, etc… He has been known to try retrieving a duck every now and then. He never hurts them, so this could be a really great trait if you’re looking for a hunting dog!
He would make a wonderful country dog. He loves room to run and play, but never tries to run away. He will keep you company wherever you go. He is happy to go on car rides. He isn’t especially needy with attention, but obviously loves being close to his people.

Our sweet Henry has found his forever family! We are so happy for him and excited for the adventures he has in store 🧡

✨Trying something new! ✨

We now have a listing on SniffSpot, which is a platform that allows you to essentially rent a private dog park/play area.

💸 All proceeds will go directly to our rescue (food, vet care, toys, treats) 💸

Our hope is to provide people in our area a fun spot they can take their dogs to run, play, and explore while also supporting our rescue efforts!

✨Henry went for a trial run this weekend. The other dogs in the house decided they did not want a new brother, but Henry did great!
🐾He really enjoyed being in the house and was described as very chill, sweet, and loving.
✨He walked well on a leash and rode well in the car, which he does with us also!
🐾He will need some training if he is going to be in the house a lot, but he is such a quick learner that I don’t foresee this being an issue.
✨If you are interested in meeting Henry or Wesson, please reach out and let us know. If we are unable to find them homes soon, we will consider moving them to a larger shelter. These guys deserve families of their own!
