Cloud didn’t care for my big Wade saddle today. I’ve been riding her with Sam’s smaller regular western till today. But she settled down and did great today as always. My saddle with all the work stuff on it added another 20 lbs probably.

Exercising our stallion, Rocket today. You will not find a calmer one anywhere. All our paints here act like they do because they get it from him. Contact us and get your mare a spot with him this breeding season.

Moved the bull to a new herd so we let Rip get in some practice rounding up the cows while we were there.

Second roping lesson today. Cowboying is fun stuff. Benjamin roping off Rusty and doing great.

A cowboys rope is not hanging on the saddle to make you look cool. It is a very important tool for us. So it is a important skill to learn and maintain when you are ranching or learning horsemanship. Cabe is doing well today.

Benjamin worked on trust and confidence today by riding and controlling Apache backwards in the saddle.

Benjamin had to do the climb on Apache by his neck today. If one does it they all want to and Apache just stands there and takes it.

I love watching students do two things in our classes. Their first open trail ride and then their first lope on a horse. That’s good cowboy stuff.
