This Saturday at the 3rd Annual Racing for Our Heroes run a small money bag like this full of hundreds and twenties went missing out of our bag at the sign up table. I know we'll probably never get it back and I'm sure no one knows who or where it went, but it 100% disappeared from the bag while it was sitting beside my chair at the sign up table. I guess I'm posting this for a couple reasons... 1 in case someone saw or knows something they can hopefully find it in their heart to let me know. 2 so everyone will be extra careful with their things in the future. Lock everything up and keep your eyes on your things. 3. To let you all know that this was probably the last race that Barrels of Fun LLC will be having at least for a long time. This was a HUGE loss that has set us back thousands of dollars. Although there are a lot of honest people and I still believe our barrel racing community in a whole is amazing I am so disappointed that this happened at this race. Thankfully there was enough in another bag that we had hidden to cover most of the payout for the weekend. I'm not posting this for pity or sympathy. Just so everyone will be more aware and to tell you all thank you so much for your support of our races in the past. My mom and I have thoroughly enjoyed every one we've ever had and every one of you we've met along the way. I'm so thankful for all of the friends we've been able to make through all of this. I do want to say I know 100% that it wasn't one of my workers that has it. They are all fantastic, amazing human beings and a part of my family. They've been so great through all of this. I hope everyone had a great weekend and it was so good seeing all of you again. Sending love and prayers that whoever has it needed it more than us and will use it for something good 🙏

Finally have the shirts available for the 3rd Annual Racing for Our Heroes! They are on solid white this time and will be $15 each. Sponsors will be on the back. Text me to order (318) 439-1796. They're only available to order from now until Thursday, August 31st so get your orders in if if you want one. There will be a very limited number available to purchase at the show.
Shipping is available with buyer paying shipping.

The barrel racing community lost a gem this week. A lot of you probably knew Marcus Saulsbury as the man on the tractor, but even more of us knew him as a friend. He was always there to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it no matter what and always there to make us laugh when we were down. He's given me MANY pep talks even when I didn't want to hear them. The barrel races will never be the same again without him pestering all of us just to get us to crack a smile. I will forever miss hearing him yell at me from the back of the alley and texting me during the middle of one of our races telling me to turn the fans off so I don't dry out his dirt. Marcus was one of a kind and one of the best people to have in your corner. To know him was to love him. Please keep Mrs. Mandy and the rest of his family and friends in your prayers for the days to come. The entire barrel racing community is mourning and will truly never be the same. We will all always remember and deeply miss Marcus, the tractor driving extraordinaire ❤️

Here is your pre entry draw for Saturday along with stall/hookup reservations. Sunday early draw will be posted later today. There are some that asked to be held out into the 2nd draw so if you don't see your name that is why. If you notice anything, TEXT me. I never get notifications of comments. I can add BBR numbers, Arkansas Elite or you can add side pots as long as it is before you run.

Text in entries to go into the pre entries close tonight at 10pm! Text (318) 439-1796 to enter. Be sure to include side pots and if you're doing the hero sidepot, who/what qualifies you for it.
You can late enter at the show with no late fees until the last horse runs. If you have somewhere else to be first, but still want to come run we will work with you as best as we can so that you can do both

The open will NOT start before 12

For the poles.. entry fee is $25 and is 50% payback. 3D whole second splits

We have a silent auction with some NICE things in it

We also have a bake sale so bring your spending money!

Harli Smith with Royal Spades Media will be there taking pictures!

T-shirts can still be ordered, but they will be shipped after the race.
