There are TWO days left to contribute to the December food drive! We invite community members to donate human non-perishable foods, dog food, and cat food, if able to do so.

Simply stop by during business hours today or tomorrow (12/31), drop off your donation(s), and provide your name/phone number to be entered in a thank-you drawing.

All human food will be donated to the community food shelf, and all pet food will support our pet food pantry for families in need.

What a delightful surprise! River, Lauri, and Nick of Sammy’s Pizza started off the holiday in the most generous way, delivering gifts for pets and people alike ☺️🎄Thank you to the Sammy’s Pizza team for the thoughtful donations and excellent meal. We’d like to take a moment and thank every person who’s sent a Christmas card, submitted a pet adoption update, made a monetary donation, volunteered their time, or shopped for shelter supplies this holiday season! Checking the mail each day has been heartwarming, and every act of kindness brings such joy 😌

Countless individuals come together to make a positive difference in shelter pets’ lives during the season of giving, and it’s quite uplifting to witness – especially on the tough days.

Whether we’re able to thank you in person, through mail, or for those who wish to remain anonymous, please know your thoughtfulness is noticed, recognized, and so very appreciated.

When Garfield and Odie first found themselves together at WAHS, they seemed to stick to their own personal space bubbles — having a general appreciation for the mutual company, but not necessarily seeking each other out.

However, after adjusting to the new surroundings, they began spending more and more time together. Once beds were shared for afternoon snoozes and they barely spent time apart, we knew their future was meant to be together.

Not long after listing them as a bonded pair, a family came forward and realized Garfield and Odie were their beloved companions for life! The brother duo got adopted today, just in time for holiday break ☺️ Happy Adoption Day to Garfield and Odie, and thanks to their family for welcoming home a bonded pair 🧡

Adoption Update - Monkey! 🤎

Monkey, adopted in July of this year, is thriving in his home. He’d been born with some eye struggles and eventually they needed to be removed, which helped him feel much more comfortable now. Monkey’s living each day surrounded with feline companionship and endless love from his doting adopter! Wishing the happiest of holidays to Monkey and his family 😌
