Rummage sale day part 2 is a go!! Stop by the front WAHS lot this Saturday 9/27 from 10am-2pm for pet supplies, kennels, household essentials, clothes, and so much MORE! Donations are appreciated to support the shelter pets 🐾

On behalf of Dot and her shelter friends, thank you to all who stopped by for last Saturday’s rummage sale! It was a great turnout, and many items were able to be put to use 🥳

There are still a LOT of items left over, so we’re wondering – would a second rummage sale day this Saturday, September 27th from 10am-2pm be something the community’s interested in? Let us know by liking whichever comment best fits you!

Should enough people express their interest within the next day, we’ll announce if the next rummage sale is a go!

Sometimes it takes a few meetings to find the right family…and other times, they were there all along!

Earlier this summer, June was welcomed into a foster family to get a temporary shelter break until adopters came along.

Weeks went by without much luck — but that turned out to be okay, because they realized she had in fact already found her place 🥹

What made this series of events even more special is that June’s adoption fee was generously sponsored by Core Molding Technologies! This has allowed June’s family to dedicate additional funds for June’s care and long-term success.

Thank you to Core Molding Technologies for helping complete June’s journey, and thank you to her fosters-turned-adopters for providing June with her dream new life! Wishing the best for all of them 💕

Got some free time today? Stop down for our rummage sale before 2pm!! After the morning rush, a TON of items are still available, including:

- Pet supplies: carriers (both complete and for parts), bowls, sweaters, leashes, collars, harnesses, beds, food/treats, toys, tunnels, etc
- Items for people: clothing, shoes, books, toys, masks, face shields, baby supplies
- Household: bakeware, dishes, decor, Air Wick refills, bird seed, sanitizer, bug spray, rugs, fabric softener, etc
- Assorted cleaning supplies
- And SO much more!

With the exception of a few specific donation prices for certain items, all others are free for the taking with a donation of any amount to help the animals — so bring an empty car, cash, and load up 🎉

A plethora of items await you at the rummage sale tomorrow (9/20) from 10am-2pm! Don’t forget to swing by the WAHS parking lot and see what’s available to take for a small donation 🤩 Even if you don’t have a pet, still come browse because there will be household and people items available, too! You’ll be helping us clear overflowing storage while also supporting shelter pets through donations 😸

Want to assist shelter pets, and looking for simple ways to do so? Just ask Charlie – he presents WAHS’ most needed items for the upcoming week!

From a box of ziploc bags to a large bag of senior dog food, everything makes a difference in day-to-day care of the animals.

Wishlists are linked in the comments and orders ship right to WAHS. Donation dropoffs are also welcome at 1112 East Broadway Street during 12pm-5pm Tuesdays-Fridays and 10am-2pm Saturdays.

And if you’re in the market to change a pet’s life in a long-term-commitment-type-of-way…consider applying to meet Charlie! He’s returned to the shelter life and has been waiting for weeks to meet the right family 🩵

COURTESY POST - Cat sighting‼️

We were contacted to share about this medium haired black and white cat who’s been frequenting a home on Lafayette Street, near the WSU campus. The finder isn’t certain but believes it’s a female cat. If anyone is missing a cat that matches this description, she is hanging around in that area 🐾

It took Strawberry a bit to find her people, but she sure hit the jackpot 🥹 Strawberry settled right into her forever home and is happy as can be. Thank you to Strawberry’s adopters for giving her the life she was waiting for 🤍🖤
