I love this!!

Edit: ok pictures cant help everyone learn I guess since there are still people disagreeing 🤷 cant help that but i can clarify some of the legit questions i have seen so far. Brachycephalic means a broad short skull... in dogs, thats a shortening of the snout like in bulldogs and pugs. In humans, thats like a shortening from face to back of skull. I threw a pic of what it looks like in humans in the comments somewhere bc I know a lot of people haven't seen it who dont work in the medical field. If you want to campare this girls shaved look to the skull of a breed who has never been accused of being brachycephalic, take a minute to google a hairless rex rabbit named Mr. Bigglesworth and compare for yourself!

HOLLAND LOPS are NOT brachycephalic. Saying it means nothing to some people, so here is the proof. This is Ytterbium shaved. Safe to say she had a weird day.

I'm well aware that this is going to bother some people, but this felt important. Ytterbium is a fuzzy holland lop and she has been shaved. I normally do not have fuzzies in my barn because Nanny thinks they are a delicacy... so if I keep a fuzzy this long it means its way too nice to cull and Ytterbium and her sister are really incredible hands on, so this is what a nicely typed holland looks like shaved.
This was a random decision for an educational post. I orginally was just going to shave the back of her neck (because that is the place where wool will ALWAYS mat up) but then she looked ridiculous so i shaved her body... and then I couldnt stop thinking about how a lot of non-breeders say a lot of things, one of them being that Hollands lops are brachycephalic and she was just so tolerant at that point that I figured, why not... education is important, it is summer so its safe, and I think most people probably have never seen this. Seeing it is so different from feeling it. So Ytterbium got to be my guinea pig (Skinny pig 😆) in the name of education. I will throw some more pics in the comments, but this one was my favorite. Now I'm off to crochet this girl a sweater just in case we have a suprise cold front 😉

These babies were a surprise last night from Raquel. I had her bred and due in 20 days so let's hope she doesn't have more! I saw her start nesting last night so I gave her a box and I'm glad I did!❤️

The video is of my bunny giving birth! ! Don't watch if youre uncomfortable with blood. Tonight I went to visit my bunnies again for a last night check and my girl camilla started giving birth right in front of me outside of her nestbox. Literally sanding on two legs and pushing. It was the most bizarre thing. But I helped her out when she was done and put him in the nest box for her. I then left as to not stress her out so she'll have the rest of her babies. I came back two and half hours later expecting her to be finished. She wasn't having any contractions and I found now two babies in the nest box. It was exciting. But as soon as I stopped looking she began having babies again which if people know rabbits normally have all their babies in row unless some get stuck. So she birthed another baby seemingly easily but didnt go back into the nest box. And within 5 minutes had three in a row right in front of me. I took this as a sign that she was holding on to those babies until I was there with her and she wanted to show me her having them. She cleaned them off so well and I put them into the nest box for her. Fingers crossed she does well with them❤️❤️❤️

I just wanted to share this resource! I often refer to this as I raise hollands and they are more prone to ear infections because of their ears. I want to make sure they all stay happy and healthy and this is such a reliable resource! I just thought to share it since someone who got a bunny from me had a similar issue!❤️❤️

Otitis (Ear Infection) Ear infections are unfortunately not uncommon in rabbits. Studies from meat rabbit farms show that approximately 32% of adult rabbits suffer from otitis. This aligns, depending on the breed, with observations in German veterinary practices. Ear infections are a very common con...

This lionhead buck is 👀🏡 he was found (most likely abandoned in Minneapolis) he is shy so he would need someone willing to work to earn his trust. He is super sweet and will cuddle once you pick him up. He uses the litter box well and is a VM black tort. Not fixed but has gotten his vaccines and been vet checked.

This girl cracks me up😂❤️
