Dakota is fiercely loyal to protecting his people! Which is why we chose to honor him and his demeanor as a mascot to fund the cost for a HIGHLY needed generator.

As many of you know (and stepped forward to help!) Our generator broke just before this last major storm resulting in 4 days of the shelter not having power. We were lucky to have the community deliver fresh water, and supplies, and even launder some of our soiled linens! To ensure our animals and staff don’t have to go through that chaos again, we are raising funds for a new generator!

We are pleased to announce that Dakota helped us raise $6,800 of our $10,000 goal so far! Please take a moment to thank our donors so far!

I know the page has been kind of silent recently. It's been a crazy couple of weeks with internet issues, the loss of a friend, and an unexpected medical diagnosis of a family member.
