Rachael’s Farm dedicates its business to growing the freshest organic vegetables, herbs and cut sunflowers. We grow a wide range of organic produce including many of the standard crops as well as interesting and unique specialty vegetables with an emphasis on heirloom tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, squashes, cucumbers, edamame, herbs and greens, and a large variety of beans. We grow the three siste
rs; Native American corn, pole beans and squash the way Native Americans have grown them for centuries. In addition, we grow many varieties of sunflowers to attract beneficial insects, especially lady bugs and predator insects, to enhance the farm's natural habitat warding off pests. Other flowers grown for this purpose include cilantro, zinnias and marigolds. At Rachael's Farm, we incorporate the most current and proven sustainable systems for natural mulching, to conserve water and energy, cover cropping and green manure, for healthy soil and to naturally rejuvenate the land providing a healthy environment for plants to grow. We hand pick our fields every morning and tend to the fields using only organic techniques. Organic certification standards prohibit synthetic herbicides and pesticides and genetically modified organisms. Buying local certified organic is the best way to avoid exposure to unhealthy genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and foods grown under unknown conditions often shipped from around the world. As organic farmers, we do not use GMO seeds or plants and we source all of our plants from local growers and utilize local suppliers for our organic approved supplies. You'll agree, locally grown organic vegetables are the best tasting!
