Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far! Your generosity is overwhelming and truly appreciated🙏💜🐾. As we’ve begun assessing the situation, we’ve realized that replacing the AC unit is just one part of the solution.
To keep the sanctuary cool and comfortable in the long term, we also need to install better insulation and (likely) a drop ceiling to retain the cool air more effectively.
The donations will be used for these crucial upgrades.

We need your help to keep our sanctuary comfortable for our beloved senior dogs!🙏🐾 As the temperatures rise, our current mini-split air conditioner is struggling to keep up with the intense heat. Unfortunately, our older dogs have a very low tolerance to high temperatures, and it's not even summer yet🥵!
To ensure their safety and comfort, we need to upgrade to a new window AC unit that can effectively cool a 300 sq ft area. Right now, we're relying on a very old backup unit that could fail at any moment. Any contribution, no matter how small, towards a new AC unit would be incredibly helpful. I know it’s not always easy to get up in the mornings, especially on Mondays! 😵‍💫 But do you even realize the magic that is waiting for you? Hey, I hear you! I don’t always want to get up at the ass crack of dawn either, but sitting in the darkness and listening to nature wake up, has got to be the most magical time of day 🧙‍♀️🦄 It’s a time of day when we can collect our thoughts and quiet the mind, the air is a little cooler, the birds and frogs are slowly starting to sing 🕊️🐸 the sun rises and paints the sky with hues of pink 🥰 In this time I can find my center, a peace of mind and a connection with Mother Nature. Without this time I am off balance for the entire day. Nothing like the sound of the owls 🦉 and the rain 🌧️ Owls remind us to trust our inner wisdom, that if something doesn’t feel right, it’s probably not, and that sometimes it’s necessary to look at those dark parts of yourself and embrace them 🦉💕

The other night when I fed Wylie his dinner, he refused to eat from his bowl. I thought this to be very odd, as Wylie never refuses food 🤣 A few minutes later he kept going to his puzzle 🧩 I heard him loud and clear. “Eating out of my puzzle is way more fun, and it helps me slow down my eating” You see, Wylie has ALWAYS had a very sensitive stomach and as of lately it’s been a little upset. He knew EXACTLY what he needed this time in order to make his belly feel better ❤️‍🩹 So, I listened to him and put his food in his puzzle and sure enough he ate 🥘 Now dinner and breakfast is served like this. Listen to your animals, my friends. They often know what they need before we do!
