🌱 Community Roots Day is back on February 22, 2025 at 9 a.m. Join us for this annual volunteer tree-planting event where we’ll plant over 100 trees in just one morning, adding shade, fresh air, and character to our beautiful neighborhoods.
Over the past 30 years, more than 8,000 trees have been planted, helping Winston-Salem earn the prestigious title of being a Tree City USA for 23 years, along with being named North Carolina’s Tree City USA of the Year in 2017!
How to Get Involved:
We’re partnering with Vegetation Management, Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful, and the Winston-Salem Garden Club Council to make this happen. Volunteers are essential to the success of the event and we’d love for you to join!
🌳 We’ll plant:
Serviceberry
Black Gum
Armstrong Maples
Kousa Dogwoods
White Oaks
