Here at Barking Ridge Schnauzers it is with great sadness that I am announcing that the time has come to end these wonderful years. There has been so much joy here and a lot of sad times but we made it through. I am just getting to old to keep up the pace and it wasn’t fair to my daughter that she had to pick up the slack. Our younger schnauzers will be going to new forever homes with families I love and trust. All our older schnauzers will be staying here with us and together we will live out our lives. I want to thank each and every family that got a baby from us. All of you were perfect for the babies that you got to share your hearts and homes with.

This decision was so hard to come to but I know in the end it’s the right thing to do.
To all my breeder friends thank you for lending your ear and all your wonderful advice and help. You are the best.

I hope those buyers that got babies and sends pictures to me will continue to send me their pictures. Just because we are shutting down doesn’t mean it’s totally over. This old lady will still enjoy your pics. It will help to keep the memories alive a little longer. You can always send them to me via messenger.

Again thank all of you for sharing and caring. It truly means the world to me.

This is Nina. She went home with her new family this past Saturday. We miss her but we are also happy for this special girl. She has a wonderful loving family.

We are getting so big! Hi, our names are Timon, a boy and Pumbaa, a girl. We are black with just a few white markings. We sure hope to find our special family/person soon to love us and play with us. We will be your very best friend. Pm for info or call and leave a message.

Update: all puppies are with their people now. We are now shut down and no longer in the business.

Roc and Dove are still waiting and looking for their own special family.They are almost 6 weeks old and such sweet babies. Is there a special place in your life for one of these special babies.

Lucy is having her babies. The first one has arrived. It’s a boy and solid white. Lucy is black and silver and dad is liver/tan. Not sure where this white came from. Lucy is acting bewildered. It’s her first litter.

I can't take him to the beach for a walk because it annoys you and disturbs the vacation... I have no right to rent a house if I have a dog, nor can I take him on public transportation.

However, I can take it to the rubble to find you after an earthquake, in the woods after you got lost in the mountains and had no map or gps; under the snow because you took a detour forbidden off the track; in the water because despite the red flag you have entered the sea, and your life is in danger!

And finally ...

He is just a dog, but he or she will find you. And it will save you!!!

So today could’ve been a really bad day. The gate into the backyard had been opened and then shut, but it didn’t latch correctly. My schnauzers were outside along with the border collie puppy. We were getting the dogs in so the lab could have her time out when we noticed three dogs were missing. Gidget, Gracie, and lolly had made the great escape. I was having a heart attack. We started calling their names and they were nowhere to be seen. My panic button came on. I saw Lolly come over the hill and down the road. She was a happy girl. With her we just had to try to catch her and she didn’t want to be caught. It was fun and games for her. Then I saw Gracie slowly coming back down the way and she was pretty easy to get and bring in. That just left Gidget and my panic level went up again. Gidget was not inside at all. I went and grabbed my keys and started towards the car to go drive and try to find her when she finally came back over the hill down on the side of the street and I wanted to do was say Jordin go get her and try to calm my heart.
If something has happened to 1, 2, or 3 of them I most likely would have had a total meltdown. So I had to explain that when that gate was open and closed, the latch doesn’t always catch solidly. The lock Hass to be put on it immediately or this is what could happen I think after today no one will leave that lock off at all.
I am so thankful that my babies came back well and unharmed!
So that is today’s saga of the Pinckney household. So stay tuned to the never ending story of my life.

We should be having puppies around January 30th or 31st. Lucy and Sheldon babies. Lucy’s first litter. She’s a black & silver phantom and Sheldon is a
Liver/tan. I am hoping for 2 or 3 pups.

Late yesterday afternoon we had two new little puppies born here at Barking Ridge Schnauzers. Both are liver/tan boys. Both are doing so good. Miss Lollie and Mr Sheldon are the parents. Full blooded but do not come with papers. Both will want their own loving families. Adding a pic of each. They aren’t good pics but I will get better ones when they are older. Puppy on the left is Mario and puppy on right is Luigi.

This little girl left with her new family about two weeks ago. Yesterday I received some pics of her that I want to share. She is now named Isla.

My last puppy left this past Monday with her furever family. It was sad to see her go but also rewarding because she now has her own little boy all to her self.
