Hey ya'll. C**t here. I've been in the house with an injured toe bean and have been just surfing the net. I saw something that made me think that I'd like all our followers to know that my mom is the type of trainer who never uses fear or intimidation. So, here's a little info on different training methods.
Elite Canine uses Positive Reinforcement Force-Free techniques.
Force-free dog training is a humane, science-backed approach that uses positive reinforcement and avoids coercion, punishment, or intimidation to encourage desired behaviors and build a strong, trusting relationship with your dog.
Positive Reinforcement dog training focuses on rewarding desired behaviors, encouraging dogs to repeat those actions, and building a strong bond through positive interactions and clear communication.
LIMA training claims it is +R, but is it really? LIMA stands for Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive. This, to us, is a contradiction since the proper definition for Aversive is methods of stopping someone from behaving in a particular way involve doing something unpleasant to that person whenever they do something you do not want them to do: aversive conditioning. How is this +R?
NePoPo stands for negative, positive, positive. It means that the dog first receives a negative stimulus, followed by two positive stimuli. This training method makes communication between the dog and its owner more effective and pleasant. Huh?
Negative reinforcement occurs when a dog performs a behavior that leads to the removal of something unpleasant, making the dog more likely to repeat that behavior in the future. this method utilizes shock, prong and choke collars.
My mom would never teach any way but +R FF. She always says she will never understand how someone could look into the dogs eyes of a sweet pup and even consider using ay other method."
