Can we talk about the miracle Churu is for Veterinary Medicine and our patients?? 😻
If you’ve been to Reynolda Vet before, you know we don’t hold back when it comes to giving treats! And though we have many different options for pups, there’s only two for cats, cheese-whiz and Churu. Our feline patients tend to try both but always choose Churu to be their favorite. Will, for example, has never been a fan of coming in to see us but as long as he has his chicken flavored Churu, we can get through his whole visit without causing him stress or anxiety✨
This has brought us soooo much joy! Seeing our patients’ anxiety decrease when they have a favorite treat in front of them is everything we could ask for and more 🧡
What’s your cat’s favorite treat?

Crystal has been a part of Reynolda Vet since 2006 and has made an impact on the clinic since. When we asked Crystal what her favorite thing about working at RVH was, she simply said… ⬇️
“We have the BEST clients!” ✨
We couldn’t agree more! 🫶🏼 Thank you for everything you do for us, Crystal. If you see her this week, don’t forget to wish her a happy workiversary!

Happy seven year workiversary, Jeanne! 🥳

When we asked Jeanne what she loves about working at RVH and Veterinary Medicine, she said… ⬇️
“I’ve been in the Vet field for 14 years and I just love connecting with all the pet owners and their babies. Helping them feel better about coming to the vet and feeling welcome. I enjoy walking them through the steps of what they can expect from their appointment. I try my best to calm what fears they may have or explain how important something might be for their pet to be seen” 🫶🏼

Thank you so much for everything you do for us and the love you give our patients. Your compassion makes you simply wonderful. We hope your seventh year at Reynolda Vet is one of the best! 🐾

The snow caught us all by surprise yesterday, and since they’re calling for snow this weekend, we thought we’d share some tips you should follow to keep your pets safe during these cold winter days ☃️
❄️ As the temperature drops we should be careful with how long our pets stay outside for. Some breeds can embrace cold days a lot better than others, but minimizing for how long our pets stay outside on cold days can keep them safe.
If your pet is an outdoor pet, make sure their house is properly insulated to prevent hypothermia or frostbite.
❄️ Check your pet’s paws often. Even though a lot of pets tend to get injuries from walking on hot pavement, they can also get injured from walking on the frozen or cold ground. Making sure their paw pads are well moisturized and not cracking is important!
❄️ Bathing your pet too often during the winter can cause them to struggle with dry, flaky skin which can become itchy and hard to deal with for them. How can we help them then? If you’re doing at home baths, simply use a good quality oatmeal shampoo and conditioner. You can also use a humidifier during the winter to help prevent dry skin or if you’d like, pamper your pet with a visit to the groomer, where they are most likely to have cage dryers and all the right products! 🐩✨
❄️ Sometimes stray or outdoor pets will try to find a small cozy place to rest when temperatures drop. A lot of cats end up choosing to hide under cars or in between the tires of your car. In order to keep them safe, make some noise in the morning once you start your car. You can hit the side of your car to make sure that pet knows to come out or honk. This may seem scary to them at first, but we want them to come out of the car in order to stay safe.
❄️ Last but not least, joint supplements! One of the most common issues pets have during the winter months is occasional joint pain or stiffness (just like us!), and making sure they get their daily supplements can help maintain healthy joints and prevent pain or discomfort.
Stay warm, friends! And know we’re always here if you need us 🐾
