ATTENTION: Major “blep” alert!!! 😻

Our friend Ellie came in to see us for a recheck after having oral surgery a couple weeks ago. While she was there, we performed a laser treatment which helps reduce pain, inflammation and speeds up the healing process, however, this ALSO means we have to protect her eyes by placing this cool set of goggles on her.
We always love seeing our patients wearing goggles, but Ellie’s blep definitely made our day brighter! ✨

Help us wish Christine a Happy Birthday and a Happy Workiversary! 🥳🎂
Thank you for everything you do and how hard you work. For those who don’t know, Christine started her vetmed journey as a CSR four years ago, and transitioned to a Veterinary Assistant position almost three years ago. Since then, she’s made an impact in the life of many pets, including Timmy, who she features on her birthday post. In honor of her Workiversary and birthday, Christine wanted to tell you more about Timmy and how to adopt him! 🩵

Currently up for adoption through , Timmy is a little over a year old, and likely a Great Pyrenees mix. He’s completely house-trained and gets along with dogs, cats, and even chickens! 🐓

He enjoys car rides and LOVESSS playing with his two foster siblings, which sometimes makes it hard for him to be excited to go in his crate, but he’s slowly learning.
His perfect home includes a canine sibling and a fenced-in yard because he loves being outside and roaming around.

All to say, if you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and affectionate pup, Timmy would be the perfect fit for you! What are you waiting for? 🐾

Grab your pup and head over to see us, because the answer is YES! 🍕

March is Poison Prevention Awareness month, so let’s talk about an emergency scenario that not many may think of, uncooked yeast dough consumption. Unfortunately raw pizza dough, raw bread dough or yeast dough are all dangerous for dogs and there are a couple reasons why.
➡️ To start, the uncooked dough can expand in your pup’s stomach causing their stomach to bloat, which requires a diagnosis and sometimes emergency surgery.
➡️ Another reason why ingesting raw yeast dough is dangerous for pets is because after consumption the yeast will start fermenting in the pet’s body, leading to the production of ethanol (alcohol) which will cause alcohol poisoning 😱
So be careful next time you’re cooking and call us if you pet consumes something you have questions about 🐾

🩵 AARF/ Reynolda Vet collab! Please share⬇️
Happy Workiversary to our Vet Assistant, Rhianna 🥳 Rhi is hard working and has a heart of gold! So much that she wanted to share her anniversary post with a sweet boy she met last week who is looking for a furrever home. Everyone meet Rogan! 🐾 This is his story ⬇️

Rogan is a good boy that is anxiously waiting at AARF for his furrever home. He is smart, goofy, energetic and has gone through a couple weeks of professional training where so far, he’s learned “sit, down, crate, heel, place and off” among a couple other cool tricks. Rogan loves walks and anything that involves playing. Other things he loves include cozy blankets, car rides, pup cups, laying in the sun, and playing with a ball.
Rogan is crate trained and house trained. He’s never been known for being destructive but is a strong chewer and needs the right toys (bones) to keep him busy while he lays on the couch and waits for you to get home from work.
Rogan is playful and does well with other big dogs, however, his energetic personally can come off strong and scare other pups. He will need the proper introduction with any new dogs to make sure they can be buds.
Rogan is waiting for a loving owner who knows how to do it all. Go on walks, runs, hikes, throw the ball for him but can also relax on the couch and catch a movie together buried in cozy blankets. Since he is so strong and spirited, a household with small children, small pups or cats is not recommended for him, but instead, a family that’s active and likes exercising, a family with older kids (and even another big pup) or a couple looking for a dog they can create a lot of fun memories with would be a perfect fit! So what do you say? Can you help us spread the word and help Rogan find a his furrever home? 🩵

Help us wish Jessi a Happy Birthday and also welcome her to our team! 🥳🎂

Jessi and her family, recently moved here all the way from Orange County, California.
Jessi brings with her nine years of CSR experience from the Emergency and Specialty hospital she used to work at in California and her passion for Veterinary medicine shines brightly in her dedication to helping both clients and their pets feel heard and helped.
Outside of Vetmed, Jessi loves spending with her husband, four kids and four furry companions (three dogs and a cat).

Thank you for everything you already do for us and our patients, Jessi! We hope you have a wonderful birthday full of purrs and tail wags 🐾

Happy Birthday to our Practice Manager, Maggie! 🥳🎂
We hope your day is filled with love and laughter. Thank you for everything you do for us!
In honor of her birthday, Maggie wanted to feature two pets who are currently up for adoption through

Meet Emerald and Sapphire! 🐰💚🐰❤️
These two gals are sisters that have been waiting for their forever home since October of last year. They are beautiful and have very sweet personalities, but can be a little shy and slower to warm up at the beginning. They are bonded and perfect for each other! Please contact Fairytale Farm Rescue and Sanctuary if you’d like to know more about them 🐾

Happy Workiversary, Morgan!!! 🥳
Morgan has officially been part of the RVH team for a year and our patients simply love her. Thank you for all you do!
In honor of her Workiversary we had her answer two questions, “what do you like the most about vetmed and working at Reynolda Vet?” she said the following… ⬇️

Happy Sunday everyone! 🐾
We have important message regarding a medication protocol change at RVH ⬇️

A recent NC State Law, has made Gabapentin classified as a reportable drug and will be tracked through the state's PDMP (Prescription Drug Management Program) and CSRS (The Controlled Substances Reporting System).
This new regulation will come into effect on March 1st, 2025, and will impact the way we are able to prescribe Gabapentin at Reynolda Veterinary Hospital.

Please be patient with the staff as we all try to navigate this big new change, while continuing to provide excellent care to all our patients. Thank you! 🩵
