Twelve.
Haven was a part of my life for over twelve years and it simply wasn’t enough, even as a person that simply cared for her a whole heck of a lot while her human worked.
I met her when she was barely over a year old at a previous job, and I immediately fell in love with her (and her siblings). Not many people got to see her goofy side, but she allowed me to be a part of that side of her, and I’m so so grateful.
In her younger days, I’d walk in to Haven sleeping upside down, contorted. We’d then go outside, and she filled her time with beating up her brother, getting some good wall/fence scratches in, and having only the best grass flops.
In her golden years, she’d be cozied up on her bed waiting for me. As Haven’s vision faded, I helped guide her outside (eventually carrying her) and we would enjoy a slower paced visit, helping her sister yell at the neighbors and getting all the good sniffs in (especially when my treat pocket was involved!).
It truly was an honor caring for you for so long in all your different stages, baby girl.
You were the best girl, Havey Gravy. See you on the other side. 🖤🌈
