At SOOFA Ranch, that line hits a little different these days.

Yes, we took a major loss. Losing the land that so many families, youth, and veterans called a safe space was a heartbreak we felt in our bones. But here is the beautiful twist in the plot… the story is still being written.

Right now, we are back on the trail—literally.
Trail rides are rolling.
Horses are working.
Community is showing up.
And our team is mapping out the future with the same grit and faith that built SOOFA Ranch in the first place.

The chapters behind us are full of triumphs, healing moments, and lives changed. We are grateful for every single page. And this new chapter? It is not a sad reset. It is a rebuild. A reimagining. A chance to create something even stronger for the families who depend on the healing power of horses.

Save SOOFA Ranch Campaign Update

The fight to Save SOOFA Ranch has not gone in the direction we hoped. Over the past several weeks, we have been pulled in many directions, and unfortunately, false information has also circulated. We had hoped for an extension, but it was not granted. The foreclosure sale has taken place, and we have been given 45 days to vacate the property.

First, I want to sincerely thank every single person who fought alongside us. To everyone who donated, liked, shared, and lifted up our story, your support has meant everything. I also want to thank our clients and families who have trusted SOOFA Ranch over the years. Your belief in the mission has been the heartbeat of this work.

This is a very trying time for all of us.

Many have asked what happens to the funds that have been donated. The funds raised will be used to properly rehome the horses of SOOFA Ranch and ensure their care and upkeep during this transition. Moving and caring for 17 horses is not an easy or inexpensive task, and your donations are helping us give them the best possible outcome. All donations are tax deductible, and your support continues to make a real impact.

We also deeply appreciate the concern shown for the Fletcher family. As of now, we are without a home and will be seeking lodging.

This is a sensitive and emotional time for us. We have shared this journey with the community openly and respectfully, and we ask for your understanding as we take time to respond to emails, calls, and questions.

We are still in the fight. As of today, we have raised over $48,000 toward saving SOOFA Ranch. Every donation, every share, and every word of encouragement has meant more than you know.

There have been some interesting legal developments regarding the foreclosure. While I cannot go into detail at this moment, please know that we are pursuing every possible strategy to Save SOOFA Ranch. We are not giving up.

I also want to share a bit of transparency about the road we’ve traveled. Over the past months and years, SOOFA Ranch has applied for numerous grants, opportunities that could have provided significant relief, but many of those applications have been denied. This is not an easy process. Every “no” has reminded us just how challenging it can be to keep vital community programs alive, especially those serving underrepresented families, children, and veterans.

Yet even in the face of rejection, we remain unwavering. Because SOOFA Ranch is more than land and barns, it’s a place of hope, healing, and growth for so many who need it most.

If 200 people can give in one day, let’s push for 400–800 people giving today. The ideal gift is $100, but if you cannot, give what you can. Every dollar matters.

Some have asked what happens if we don’t reach the goal:
✅ All donations are tax deductible
✅ The horses still need to eat and be transported if we lose the property — caring for 17 horses is not cheap. Your gifts still help keep them safe.
