Marley is coming back due to his size and knocking down their son not on purpose …he’s a big happy guy who loves everyone he meets … he’s been in training for two months with a toddler every day with no issues… but we were told he growled and nipped at the younger son .. so we will re evaluate him with young kids …but as for now older children 12 and up must have a fenced In yard … when I say Marley loves everyone he meets and wants to give high fives the minute he meets you it’s true please apply crossedpawspetrescue.org and please only apply if you understand Marley is over 100 pounds

Although there should be a structured time and place, it is vital that dogs do get that time to take in the world with their nose.
Allowing your dogs to sniff is so important because they use their nose as the primary interpreter of stimuli or information a dog receives from their surrounding environment. Denying your dog the ability to sniff is like asking someone to walk around blindfolded. Dogs depend on their nose to survive.
It can be hard for owners to understand why they’re dog is so keen on sniffing every little thing. But what they don’t realize is that dogs have 800 million receptors in their nose which is 60 times the amount you or I do.

It’s very common to see owners that like to humanize their dog. But the problem with thisis that they simply aren’t humans, so they just don’t get it.
It is the owner’s responsibility to communicate to the dog in a way they can properly understand. Or, they’ll keep doing the same things over and over because to them you haven’t showed them what is Ok and what isn’t Ok.
Making it a priority to communicate to your pet in a way they truly understand is vital to a strong relationship between you and your pet.

This is Koda he is a 5 year old Siberian husky. At the time of the first picture which was the day of his rescue, he was only a painful weight of 35lbs. Severe malnourishment was just the start of the list of medical issues he had been suffering from. He also had been fully shaven down except for his head, he had several lacerations and patches of missing fur. He was also diagnosed with a hematoma in his right ear.
In the second picture depicted, this is within a three month time span of intensive rehabilitation not only physically but emotionally and behaviorally. We put every resource we had into healing him as quickly and effectively as possible. With some much needed TLC sweet Koda made a full recovery and is now living his best life.🐾🤍
