Meet this adorable boy who was discovered tied up inside of a black trash bag right off highway 27 near Lake Alfred. The mistreatment of innocent pets is something we will never understand. The thought of what he faced is truly horrific.
Thanks to a Good Samaritan, he was swiftly brought to VHA, where our dedicated team sprang into action to provide the care he needed. He was freezing and malnourished, with a body temperature of 91 degrees when he was found.
For the first two days, he couldn’t even walk and had a raw chin from not being able to lift his head. We’re uncertain how long he was trapped inside of this trash bag, but we do know he was brought in with barely enough time to survive it.
Thankfully, our very own Dr. Jennifer Evanow, a skilled expert in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, took him under her wing to help him regain his strength and mobility, while getting him on the road to recovery.
Despite what he’s been through, he’s still a very happy boy. We look forward to sharing his progress with you all!
