Goats and doggos always helpful when teaching lessons! All the animals were staying cool and out of the sun the past few days. Now looking like rain for the weekend. Hopefully some lessons and riding in between showers this weekend!

Been slacking on the new boarders introductions. Scout has been here for a little but, had a rough start health wise but he is getting better and opening up more and more. His owner Jen has been doing great with him! Then we have our newest boarder Giddeon owned by Olivia. He acts like he has been here his whole life! Rainy day today but got some sunny pictures earlier today and yesterday.

Okay so the votes are in and there was a tie!! Marshmallow and Casper got the same votes. So his new name will be Casper! Thank you all for your comments and I loved some of the other names. Going to keep a list for the other animals I'm bound to get 😊

Time to introduce Illusion Stables new lesson horse...Mitch!! (name to be changed). He has fit right in and taken care of Gary on the first few rides. We hope he will be a great new addition to the lesson program and give Bodhi a much deserved retirement.

Now for the name, I need your help in choosing what his new name should be. We have these three choices as our top picks but if you have a really good one list it below in the comments as well. Please comment your top pick for names!

The past week has been an ever changing scenery around here. Snow, sunshine, now a lot of snow! Horses have been great, we have been out every four hours clearing paths and gates. Everyone is tucked in with clean fresh shavings and sleeping the day away. Time for a nap!

The new mares Penny and Emma have settled in beautifully. 😊

Illusion Stables welcomed Emma and Penny with their owner Kim to the farm yesterday! They settled in great and have been so relaxed and easy going about everything. So excited to have them here 😁😁

5 years ago I took the plunge and bought a farm. Life long dream come true! Every path I've taken was leading to this and while I feel extremely lucky to have everything I have I also worked my tail off for every bit of it. I will continue to work as hard now as I did when I first stepped foot on this property. Times are way tougher than I thought they would be but we make the best of it.
I was going to post a lot of before and after projects but going through photos there are soooo many. Which is really nice to see.
I chose the first time I rode Noche here on the property. There were tons of projects to do, I had no lesson students, no boarders but I was riding the first horse I've ever owned on my own farm. Not much will beat that feeling.

Farm chores in the comfiest shirt and pants. Love . They are huge in including all shapes and sizes in the equine world and I've been lucky enough to model some of their riding pants and this shirt. I wear it to go out and do farm chores and ride.

Busy week? Weekend? Days? Busy all around. Been working, doing chores around the farm and then either going to the beach, or a play, signing axel up for gymnastics, going to the whoopee pie festival, as well as teaching lessons, working horses, playing with goats, gardening, mowing and having the barn and house trim finally painted!! Almost all green is completely gone. It is defintely summer around here, sleep will have to wait until winter again 😴

Tomorrow (Saturday June 17) 10-12 come meet Clementine and King at Blue Seal Feeds. Give them all treats and snuggles. In addition there will be a couple specials:

~Guess the amount of treats in the jars. The closest wins an Illusion Stables mug and either the half hour private lesson or the hour private lesson.

~Purchase a lesson for $10 off an hr private and/or $5 off 1/2 hr private. This day only! For new or current students.

These two are the same exact horse indifferent colors I swear. Also 90% of time they are chasing eachother but currently they are too fat from grass pastures and are hanging out together lol. Even their expressions are the same 😆
