We also would like to WELCOME Autumn to our team! She is our other PAWSOME boarding assistant who started at the clinic in June. She will be a senior at WHS this fall, has 2 cats-Binx and Bruno, and loves the fall because that is when she is the busiest.

On Thursday Stan got to help serve breakfast to some hungry exhibitors. Agriland FS and the 3 veterinary clinics in town put this event on every year.

Fair Week Photos...On Sunday, July 14, the 33 dog teams that Mitzi had been working with since March showed off their stuff in Obedience, Rally, Agility and Showmanship.

Help us welcome Noah to our animal health care team! She is going into her Senior year at Winterset High School. She has had 4 dogs in her life. She enjoys spending her free time playing guitar and listening to music. She has 2 dogs, Lincoln and Watson, who are both Golden Doodles. Her favorite part of working here is getting to live out her childhood dream of having 10 dogs without actually having 10 dogs. She has also gained Chance's (LPMC cat up for adoption)approval as a cat caretaker and human perch.

Lucky Paws of Madison County was able to take in Oscar and Olivia before the storm hits. They had been hanging around outside a home in Winterset, where the residents had been caring for them. They are scheduled to have their spay / neuter surgeries this week and then will be up for adoption.

SNOW!?!?!? Karma and Suzi are not sure what to think about that...We will be opening late tomorrow due to the impending WINTER STORM. We are hoping our staff can safely make it into town by 10 am and that is when we are planning to open the clinic. Keep yourselves and your animals safe and warm!

We collected over 295 pounds of food to donate to the Multi Purpose Center to distribute to the owners of hungry pets in Madison County who need assistance at this time. THANKS so much to all who helped us out with our annual food drive!

We have had several of our clients contact us about what they can do to make sure their dogs are safe from the "dog flu" that has been in the news. First of all, you want to make sure your dog is current on their vaccinations, including the Parainfluenza vaccine (which may be included in the DHPP, DHLPP and Bordetella vaccines) and the Bordetella vaccine. If your dog shows signs of not feeling well or develops a cough, do NOT expose them to areas where they will come into close contact with other dogs and contact us for an appointment.

Today is bittersweet as we say GOOD-BYE to Kiley but wish her the BEST with her new career. She has been an amazing asset to the clinic and will be greatly missed. We will no longer provide grooming services for our patients but welcome you to schedule brush outs, baths and nail trims with our staff.

Ember was found eating grain in a cattle lot. She is older and a little frail. We are working on getting her the proper nutrition necessary to put on some body weight. She should be available for adoption in a couple of weeks.

Jake and Jack are our large animal assistants. They help our veterinarians here at our clinic barn and out on country calls. Jake has been with us for almost 2 years and Jack joined our team in July. We appreciate all of their hard work they put in keeping our barn facility and chutes clean and ready to go and THANK them for being amazing members of our animal health care team!

We have a PAWSOME team who assists our veterinarians and staff! Emma W has been with the clinic for almost 2 years, Emma P joined us in April and we added Cloey in June. We want to THANK them for keeping our appointments running smoothly, keeping our clinic clean and providing compassionate care for our patients and boarding guests in addition to EVERYTHING else that they do on a daily basis.

It takes a GREAT team to make a GREAT clinic! Our team leaders, Mitzi and Kelley, have dedicated many years to caring for our patients. Mitzi has worked with John for 23 years and manages the clinic. Kelley is our Registered Veterinary Technician who has been with the clinic for 7 years. We appreciate all of the hard work these two have put in to make sure our patients receive the care they need and deserve!
