While Elwood and Krispy are working on their field training, we took them to an AKC Fetch Novice test this morning. It’s a pretty simple test, demonstrating the ability to move politely onto and off the test field, retrieve the object (a bumper in this case) back to the handler and repeat for 3 retrieves at approximately 30’. We opted to attempt the tests back-to-back (2 passing scores required for a title). This is Elwood, handled by Andrea, easily passing the requirements to earn his first performance title! Krispy passed her tests as well, we just didn’t take a video. It was a fun event and we’ll do more of them!
