Hello to all the new members recently! Wow! An update from the Casa Covell family. We are still in a shelter, the girls and I, but things are turning around, and we are all WELL. Thank you to those who sent prayers. Frankie, the big goofy sweetheart dog you see in some of our pics has been found after a very close family member lost her the day the girls and I went in to the shelter which was April 5 of 2014. After one year, to the day, and countless volunteer help and lots of sleepless nights, she found her way from Wakefield to Newburyport, Ma. Google it. It is a haul. All on foot. She was sighted, and soon the rescue network got to work and trapped her. I never thought it could happen. She is with a wonderful foster mama until I can get a place...and get all my babies under one roof. I am putting up some pics so you can see. Sweets and Pip are doing great! Both safe and happy, and healthy.

40 new likes! Wow. Never thought this beautiful cat would I spire so many people. Please post your pics of your Havana breeds and how you came to be their forever homes! Someone asked in a post recently about my two Havana, Yes we are going on a year in a homeless shelter, and our Havana are safe with family. Unfortunately, my beloved best friend and confidant, Frankie, my dog I adopted at 8 weeks, and had her until she was 7, was given to another family member for safe keeling, and she was lost. Ironically, the day we came to the shelter. She has yet to be found, and I have a very large hole in my heart, because of it. She was / is a wonderful dog, and I Love you Frankie!

Well my fellow online Havana posse....I am in a jam and have too find homes (temporarily, if possible) for my two girls: Pip and Sweets. I lost my job, have lost my car and my apartment. Next week my children and I are going to a homeless shelter and I can't take the cats. I have no family that can help. If anyone is in the Boston area and can help, please let me know. I am trying anything to prevent surrendering them to a no kill shelter. Thanks!
