There is a lady Catherine Woods that does transport once monthly to Mountain View Humane
If you can’t afford to fix them or they are strays , you can apply for financial aide on there website
Please reach out to them and her on the Callaway page

🐾We are so grateful to be able to provide After Hours Urgent Care in the Roanoke community! We are appreciative of the team of veterinary care providers who have chosen this shift to be available to anyone who needs it.

🐾Please send your friends to us, even if they aren’t regular clients of Vinton Vet! We can send records the next day to their regular vet.

🎉 Today, we celebrated the grand opening of Furever Fixed in Princeton, WV! 🐾 This low-cost spay and neuter clinic is a fantastic collaboration between the City of Bluefield, City of Princeton, the Mercer County Humane Society, and the Mercer County Commission aiming to promote responsible pet ownership and reduce the number of homeless animals in our community. You can receive forms by emailing [email protected] or stop by the clinic located at 1003 Shelter Road, Princeton, West Virginia. Forms can be picked up Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 2:30 pm.

Anyone can apply but there is a waiting list so please be patient

Helene’s passing!! 4 days of rain and Mud and wind and Tornado Threats over and over ,stressed not only the kitty’s out but us as well . Prayer’s to cover the Furbabie’s and keep them safe and the one’s who had no one . Mud and water and tree limb’s can be cleaned and cleared ,all live’s are safe . Thank you Jesus ….

Thank you all for all those kind words In our loss of kitty Tangerine . You all are the best to help one’s Tear’s from the heart heal .❤️to you all…. Saying Goodbye .. Tangerine’s Journey from ❤️to 💔😢. Rescued n time from the Franklin County Pound back in June in the year of 2011. That day is fresh in my mind just like it was today …. That day the pound was full and the ones coming in that were owner relinquished were put down on the spot . As I were coming in , I saw these 3 kittens in a box sitting at the door waiting to go down ,there was this lil orange one starring back at me and at that moment I said I got these ,they are not going down … That’s the moment this lil orange kitty came into our live’s and became Tangerine 🍊 along with his sister Emma& Bella . As time went by Tangerine attached to people when they came but no one ever wanted him . No matter what I took care of him and we continued this thing called life together . He was a lion in nature and he loved me to sing a song to him Tangerine .. Several years back he feel I’ll and we was told he had a mass on his kidneys and after that kidney failure . After several attacks he rebounded but this time was different .. it was a sudden loud blow and his pain was to much . This cat was a fighter he wanted to live …and he lived the impossible .. But as with all journey’s they must end . Today his Ended with peace & comfort . Thank’s to Westlake Vet Dr . Luke for helping him pass and be free of pain . And for Hubby Richard being with him as he crossed over into the other side . Our Heart is Broken and someone ask me how much can one endure ,well you see I wasn’t given a choice ..💔 Sweet Tangerine 🍊 run free in paradise .. 6/2011-–8/13/2024 (13 yrs old)

Who We Are

Freedoms Last Chance Inc is a 501 (c) (3) Non Profit Charitable Organization established in 2008 in Franklin County Virginia. We are dedicated to reducing the county's euthanasia rate by slowing the overpopulation of cats through several programs. The first program is a Spay/Neuter Program. Second program is our Pet Food Assistance Program. Third program is to educate the community to prevent and stop the suffering of cats.

With the Spay/Neuter program, we can help those who still can not afford it, and reach out to those who care for the "Community Cats". Community Cats are outside cats and include: feral/wild cats, and unfriendly cats, lost cats, and abandoned sweet cats. Some of these cats especially the feral and wild will never adjust to living indoors and if taken into a pound/shelter would not be adopted and would most likely be euthanized. The best way to save these type of cats is to spay, neuter, and vaccinate them and return them to their environment, instead of letting them multiply. Our intention is that the number of cats taken into the local pound will decline.

Second by having a Pet Food Assistance Program, we have saved hundreds of cats and dogs from being owner relinquished at the pound or abandoned. This program has also saved a lot of the community cats from being taken into the pound. As we all know, the world today is having trouble feeding their family as well as their pets. We also help the local animal rescues with pet food donations.

Third by educating the community, we have become a resource center to inform and teach to prevent the suffering and euthanasia of these animals.
