Happy New Year Everyone!

We apologize for not keeping everyone up to date with what has been going on with the hatchery. Unfortunately, we have shrunk the number of birds we have and decided to only hatch a limited number of the remaining breeds, which include Ameraucana, Easter Eggers, KO Shamo, Serama, and Cayuga x Anacona ducks (mix).

As we have shrunk our breeding programs and taken a step back from becoming a bigger hatchery, we have decided to build a cabin on a part of our property. This cabin is called The Longcrow Inn, which is based on one of our rare breeds, the Denzil and Cosova Longcrower. We have decided to rent The Longcrow Inn on our own website and on Airbnb. If you are looking for a getaway with your family or friends we have got you covered. Take a look at our website just to see what the area has to offer. We would truly love to have you as our guests. We will also be offering a free dozen eggs at each stay. (and yes you can take them home and hatch them if you really want).

Hello my fellow chicken people. Thank you for supporting us this year. Unfortunately we have decided to shrink our hatchery. We will, still be breeding next year but not as much as in the past.

This is a heads up that we are having a rummage this weekend. Saturday 8-2 and Sunday 9-2. Many chicken items, animal items and household items for sale. We also will have 4 barn companions available. Two black standard Cochin and two serama males. (not pictured please pm for details).

We will have 9 different breeds available in 2023, however some of the breeds will be limited. Here is the list of breeds:

Easter Egger- wide variety of egg colors and looks

Ameracuana- variety of colors

Standard Cochin- variety of colors

Bantam Cochin- Blue in color, but hoping to have more colors available

Marans- blue in color (Limited quantity)

Ayam Ketawa/ Ketacamp (Limited quantity)

NEW! Crevécour x Opal fibro
(Limited quantity) - this cross gives you the black skin and mouth, however you get an adorable afro with these guys. They are large in size and lay cream colored eggs.

NEW! Ducks- we will only have limited quantities and they are a mix of anacona and a crested Cayuga.

PLEASE reserve your chicks for 2023 to guarantee you will receive birds when we start hatching in the end of January. You can also schedule what month you would like to receive chicks. Please be aware we do not s*x chicks, however we may sell s*xed pullets and cockerels once they reach 3-4 months old.

We will have started pairs available come January or February. Please check back to see what will be available. Thank you!!!

SPITZHAUBEN AND YOKOHAMA PENDING PICK UP

We have some roosters still available. There are 2 crevecoeurs, 1 silver duckwing Yokohama, 1 golden spitzhauben and 1 silver spitzhauben.
The silver spitzhauben is a special boy, as he has a few issues. The issues are look based not health based. We would like him, the golden spitzhauben and Yokohama to go to pet only homes. The crevecoeur boys may go to cull buyers or pet only.

Hatchery reduction!

We have quite a few breeders to choose from that are looking for a new coop. We are done hatching for the year so come get your birds before summer is over.

Red Shoulder Yokohama (trio only)
Silver duckwing Yokohama (trio only)
Bantam cochin black (2 pairs, 1 rooster)
Ketacamp rooster (Ayam ketawa cross)
Marans (some older and some younger)
Spitzhauben (3 gold and 3 silver)

We decided to go a new direction with other breeds for spring 2023. Keep checking our page to see what we will have available.
