Progressive Veterinary Services is a small animal hospital located in Wisconsin Rapids. The clinic was founded July 14th 2014 by Dr. Tammy Hofstad and Mark Strub. Practicing alongside Dr. Tammy Hofstad is Dr. Beth Macias (Pickens) and Dr. Amber Likens, all with many years of experience in medical, surgical, and preventive care for your small animals. Progressive Veterinary Services offers quality

Progressive Veterinary Services offers routine vaccination and wellness appointments along with medical/sick exams. Our doctors also perform routine surgical procedures such as spay/neuter and growth removals and dental cleanings (and dental extractions). We specialize in orthopedic procedures such as ACL repairs and Luxating Patella repairs. Our clinic provides use of new technology such as: in clinic laboratory analyzers (CBC and Chemistry), surgical and therapy lasers, digital x-rays, and digital dental x-rays. Ginger is one of our wonderful vet assistants and can often be found at the reception desk. She has been a part of the clinic since 2022, and her favorite part has been helping all the animals and their humans every day! You can find her spending time near Lake Superior, around the campfire, or at a car show on her day off.

When not here at the clinic, Olivia loves spending time in the outdoors and can be found hunting, fishing, and hiking!

Steph has been working at Progressive for about 2 years now and brings an incredible energy to the clinic! She is currently in school for her CVT license and loves all things medical. Steph enjoys every aspect of the job, including educating clients and helping their furry friends. When not working, Steph can be found outside gardening, grilling, or hanging out with her many critters!

Her favorite part of the job is getting to know and build trust with the clients, many whom she has worked with for a long time! When not here at the clinic, Rissa can be found mini golfing, visiting zoos, and enjoying family time.

Rocky

Post Surgery Update: We'd like for you to meet Rocky, he is a 9 year old yellow Lab. On December 8th, 2017 he had his hind leg amputated and NOW look at him. <3 Seeing our patients thrive after a major surgery like he had is so rewarding. We would like to thank his owners for sending us his update and allowing us to share it with you all. :)

This week is brought to you by the letter V, K and S! V is for VIRAL (the name post is insane but we're still answering it!) K & S is for Kitten Shenanigans! Here is Venus who is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Portage County. This was her warm up while waiting to be spayed!
