Ya’all are blowing up my phone!
Going to make a handy-dandy little post, so everything in one spot easier to share! All of the older puppies are gone! We have Pebbles the fox red/dark yellow female that will be ready to go home December 9 th, chocolates out of Trenasse and Kona that will be ready to go home right before Christmas, one yellow male left and one black female on River and HRCH Rye’s litter that is ready to go home right at Christmas. I have black males and females on Raz in Barrett Litter that are ready to go home the first week in January! We will be keeping one of those puppies! You can never have too many Barrett babies! I am four months old and hoping the tooth fairy comes tonight because I just lost another baby tooth. I am going to be a big blocky boy when I grow up. No awkward skinny teenager stage here! I get along great with other dogs and the cats, I am crate trained, and have basic puppy manners. I know how to use a doggy door and am good at using it. I love toys and enjoy exploring. The amazing story behind the invention of the Kong toy begins with a devoted dog owner named Joe Markham. Over 40 years ago, Joe was faced with a challenge - his beloved German Shepherd named Fritz had a habit of biting on rocks and sticks, which had caused serious damage to his teeth. Determined to find a solution, Joe embarked on a mission to create a toy that would keep Fritz entertained and prevent him from damaging his teeth further.

One day, while working on his vehicle, Joe accidentally dropped an axle stop with an attached bracket on the ground. To his surprise, Fritz immediately grabbed hold of it and started playing with it joyfully. Seeing his dog's excitement, Joe couldn't help but be amused by the unexpected turn of events. He turned to his friend and proudly asked, "What do you think of my new dog toy?"

His friend, though not too impressed by its appearance, humorously remarked, "Actually, it's not too pretty. It looks like an earplug from King Kong." Little did they know, those words would mark the birth of the iconic Kong toy that we know today.

And so, thanks to Joe's creative thinking and his furry friend's enthusiasm, the Kong toy came into existence. It has since become a beloved and trusted companion for countless dogs, providing them with hours of entertainment and promoting healthy dental habits.

Yelling louder for the people in the back

My dog is not my child.

My dog is not my furbaby.

I am not her mother, I am her trainer. The word trainer is not a bad word, it means leader, supporter,disciplinary.. and friend.

My dog is my friend. She is my partner and my companion. To treat her like a child, to infantilize her and make it seem as though she needs my constant coddling or protection, would be unfair to her.

She is an adult carnivore that I have brought into my human world. Because of that it is my responsibility as her owner:

1) To communicate with her in a way she can understand.

2) To provide leadership, discipline and mutual respect.

3) To understand her instincts and needs, and provide appropriate outlets for them.

4) To train her and provide her the skills to function effectively in our human world, including acceptable manners and behaviors including the veterinarian.

Our dogs deserve to be given responsibility and allowed to be adult creatures, not perpetual babies. Please, don't try to make them tiny humans, they aren't and they don't want to be. Dogs are wonderful because they are dogs. Let them be dogs.

Teach them to be good ones.

Riot helping with the pies. We have decided we are retiring Riot and will not be breeding her again. Two litters is enough for this kid. She has large litters and is a wonderful Mom, but her milk supply is very fatty and though great for fat and healthy puppies, it is tougher on her body. I have two chocolate females and one black male out of her and Gable that are ready to go home now. PM for details.
