I didnโt take the straight path to becoming a horse trainerโbut looking back, every step led me right where Iโm supposed to be.
From the time I was a kid, all I wanted was to be around horses. I would watch my dad and listen to his stories from the local riding club. Iโd follow my grandpa around the farm, soaking up everything I could about his racehorses, then spend my evenings flipping through his photo albums of wins, dreaming about what it would be like to chase that kind of passion myself.
That dream eventually led me to ropingโฆ and I was hooked.
For nearly 15 years, I worked in the welding industry while continuing to rope and learn every chance I got. Then in 2019, after winning the World Series Finale, something shifted. I knew it was time to bet on myself and take the leap into training full time.
The last five years have been nothing short of incredible. What started as a passion has grown into a program built on hard work, good horses, and even better people. Iโve been lucky enough to work with clients who didnโt just trust me with their horsesโtheyโve become lifelong friends.
Iโm still learning every day, still chasing better, and still grateful for every horse and every opportunity that comes through the gate.
This isnโt just a jobโitโs the life I always dreamed of.
