On Leap Day we are sharing a Live Love Leap story! sweet Harry and his dedicated mom came to Wagging Tails for swim lessons. She wanted to be sure that if Harry ever was in a situation where he needed to swim, that he could. Because contrary to what you may thinkx all dogs do NOT instinctively know how to swim. Harry was NOT loving the water. Harry had to slowly be acclimated to the water. Wagging Tails experienced aquatic trainers held him in a lifejacket, on our lap, as we scooted down the ramp on our butt and carried him in. Just an inch or so at a time. With patience, encouragement and love, look at how confident Harry is now! Over the course of a few Swim Lessons - look at him goooooo! Our goal was to be sure Harry was a confident swimmer. Well, Harry is now on his way to becoming a dock diving dog! These are the moments we live for here at the Wagging Tails Pooch Pool!

Indoor! Wagging Tails’ Friday Night Flight Crew & Flying Fur League Night is now open for membership! Come join a group of friendly, supportive, dog loving, dock diving enthusiasts for our League Nights! Held at Wagging Tails Pet Resort & Spaw 635 New Park Ave West Hartford, CT’s new, heated, indoor, 40’ dock and 40’ pool. All breeds, all sizes, jumping at any level, ages 4 months and older, from any dock diving organization, are invited to join. From newbies to experienced jumpers….all are welcome.
We’ll meet for 2 hours or more, 2-3 Friday nights per month, for a total of 6 meetings. League nights are for FUN! We’ll practice with open dock time, and then we’ll have friendly competitions. We have Fetch It, Air Retrieve (whatever you want to call it) equipment, and will practice/learn other dock diving games besides just jumps.
At the end of this round of 5 dates awards will go to most improved, best throw, best catch, and some other fun categories. Complimentary snacks for humans and hot beverages provided. Complimentary Indoor water fountain, dog bowls and towels also available. Plenty of seating and a heated pool. Friendly, welcoming environment.
dates are Feb 2, 16, March 1, 15, 29. Dates are subject to change due to inclement weather, holidays, illness. If you can’t make it on Friday nights, we also have a Sunday FUNday league. We are also working to have fun League night competitions virtually with other indoor facilities across the U.S. League Night is $200 for 5 nights.

Yellow lab, Jameson, came for a Swim Lesson. His brother, Levi, a black lab, came along to watch. Little did we know that Levi would want to jump right in and be a dock diving dog!!! Jameson preferred to sit on the ramp and watch LOL! We are very excited for Levi's dock diving future.
We are so proud of Miles and his family! Today was only his second Try It session and he's off the dock! He ended the day with consistent 12' jumps!! (We didn't get a video of that jump tho). We're all looking forward to seeing him in his first competition next weekend here at Wagging Tails Pet Resort & Spaw - Wolcott

Go Miles! We had a fantastic Dock Diving Try It session on Saturday! With 2 new additions to our pool this year. We have not just 1, but 2, intermediate docks that are only a few inches from the water. These aid in giving more confidence to those.dogs that are hesitant to jump off a dock that is 2' from the water. What a fantastic idea these are and what great success we had with them on our first weekend! So proud of Miles! Our next Try It session is Sat. May 15th at 11am. www.waggingtails.com
