*** We have a new bottle thief and accomplice on our hands !!!! Last night at approximately 10:35 p.m. these 2 subjects first arrived at the pound they appeared to be scoping out the area . After checking things out and snacking on a few plants , they must have come to the conclusion that the coast was clear . The suspects then turned their attention to the dumpster (clearly marked to not steal our bottles). After the first suspects failed attempt to get a bag out , the second suspect was successful in removing a bag. After a slight scare the 2nd suspect attempted a taste test but unsatisfied with that came back for more . Then finally after multiple attempts to steal and drag the bag the duo gave up and left the area only leaving behind their mess. After a through investigation we have closed the case . After watching the video and no bottles were taken we have decided that no charges would be pressed . Case closed !!!!
Only 4 days to go till Pawtoberfest 2024 !!!!! We are working hard to bring you the best year yet !!!! Come on down Sunday , October 6 from 1p-6p !!!!! Poker Run starts at 9a ...kick stands up at 10 !!!!

We are shocked that nobody has shown any interest in Canyon and Molly !!! You couldn't ask for a sweeter, loving , well behaved pair !!!!!!
PSA ...... Sadly we have to announce that as of December 1st , 2021 we will be suspending our collection of bottles and cans for the winter months. We have been racking our brains on how to continue it through out the winter but logistically we cannot. We hope to be able to start back up in the spring. We cannot THANK everyone enough for all of your support making this such a successful opportunity to benefit the animals !!!!!! We hope that everyone has a safe and happy Winter Season !!!!!!!!

As we , Wolcott Animal Control , look to the uncertian future of October 2021 , we are doing our best with a positive outlook to plan Pawtoberfest 2021 , to be held on October 3, 2021, while remaining in a pandemic. With many uncertainties in front of us , we are moving ahead slowly and cautiously in our planning of Pawtoberfest 2021.
We will be planning Pawtoberfest to the extent allowed by the State of CT for October. We hope that you understand that we will always do what is best for the Town of Wolcott and our supporters but must continue to follow the orders and mandates set forth by the State of CT. We all know that changes can happen in an instant.
Please keep a eye out on our page for future updates and keep your fingers crossed that by October we will be back in full swing and pull off a sucessful event for the animals !!!!!!
