She prefers something formerly alive but decomposed beyond the point of potential recognition. She is very thorough and makes sure to get her collar covered and all the creases in her ears too.

Some people have a dozen lip balms stashed in and around their daily routines. Dog people have p**p bags (and probably lip balm too).

I still have a roll of p**p bags in my purse, and at least one bag tied to each leash, and a roll in the door of the car, and a roll in my overnight bag, and a couple in my outside chores coat, and a roll of p**p bags in the bag in which I keep my purse, and a roll in the “dog stuff” crate in the back of the car, and a roll in my “office” tote for vendor events, and, and, and.

When the temperatures climb and the sun is blaring the DFDT pack loves to be in the water.

We upgraded to a five foot kiddie pool this year so two out of three dogs can fit in there at once. (Gambol prefers to take a dip by herself.)

I don't fill it more than a couple inches because, inevitably, one of the boys (no points for guessing which one) will p*e in it and I am constantly emptying and refilling it.

For your viewing pleasure. Before DFDT, I had an order fulfillment business with 26,000 sq ft of playground for a teeny tiny Gambol (and her aunt Nicci) to run around in.

Raven 2 is such a good momma. I love hearing her talk to the littles, telling them where the yummies are. She is definitely enjoying the sprouted lentils!

Still going on the premise of “hen until proven otherwise” we are egg-cited to announce that our egg production team is four stronger today (with two more eggs in the incubator).

What a lovely afternoon snack. Puck, Chewie, and I nibbled on wild raspberries while Gambol feasted on one of her favorite delicacies. Any guesses as to what that was?

I’m so excited (ridiculously excited) to announce our (it was a team effort - broody hen and I are sharing the credit) that our (her) first attempt at hatching our (her) own eggs was a success!! 🐣 Pip and Squeak hatched sometime over the weekend She was holding on for the third egg to hatch but, I blame the first time thing, neither she nor I realized it was a ceramic egg until I checked it this morning. 🤦‍♀️ We added Gigantor (shoutout Supernatural) for flock protection but also to close the loop and be able to maintain and increase our numbers ourselves (themselves, you know what I mean). 🐓 Maybe now we (they) will be able to keep up with egg demand for all the dog treats we make.

It’s cold but it’s also muddy. That means indoor activities! I break up a couple treats into a towel, roll it up, tie it in a knot, and voila! Three minutes (give or take depending on how tight the knot was) of enrichment.
