Roll Your Nickles rolled into Montana a few weeks ago, safely delivered by Gretchen Lehrkind to Bozeman, where I picked him up, and brought him home to the ranch.

He's settled in nicely....going to be a great addition to our program.

Logan's been riding him and even working some c**ts off him in the round corral. "Nickleback" seems to enjoy having a job and getting his feet wet with the ranch routine.
Ok, so actually he didn't appreciate the wet feet part, haha! Texas horses must not cross much water! But he's crossed the Dearborn River numerous times now and willingly sloshes through it.

He's standing at stud at Associated Vet in Great Falls for fresh semen

For frozen he's an affiliate stallion at Solo Select Horses in Whitesboro, TX

Still have some breedings available for 2025, message me for details

This has been a busy week and a half around here!
Last Thursday I headed off on a circle road trip that led me through Great Falls, with a few stops along the way, including picking up liquid nitrogen so we could brand our c**ts, as well as a few other ranch stops.
Then I headed off to White Sulphur Springs to pick up a new broodmare. Always love the drive from Great Falls to WSS. Rockin Chic Olena, aka Sweet Pea, did not disappoint! A big, soggy red roan from the Galt Ranch, she is bred to their Pitzer raised stud, Double Shot O Joe.
Sweet Pea has a great mind, and a calm, willing disposition, more on that later! Double Shot O Joe has AQHA points both heading and heeling. If a filly, she will be staying here, and eventually will be bred to Roll Your Nickles. If a c**t, he will be offered at weaning. If you are looking for a head prospect, keep this c**t in mind.
We have a daughter of Rockin Chic Olena that we bought four years ago, and Rosie is the reason we jumped at the chance to bring her dam home.
Sweet Pea is out with Jinx and his mares for the time being, we like to let the mares foal out, and she is used to being out in big country. We will bring her in and breed her to Nickles for a 2026 foal. Sweet Pea is a granddaughter of both Gallo Del Cielo and Mr Baron Red and brings a strong bottom side to her c**ts.

Venmo $5 to , commit to being sober that day, and show your support by wearing a purple scarf/bandana/neckercheif.

We all know someone who is struggling with alcohol or has died by su***de. Springtime has been proven to be historically high for these things. Branding season is another excuse to drink from sun up to sundown, and into the night, most days of the week. We all know this leads too many more mental health problems. For those struggling, it makes the struggle a million times harder. With friends getting together and celebrating with the one thing they can’t say no to. Alcohol.

I lost my brother to su***de just days before his branding when he had been struggling with alcohol. Had he had more support in his sobriety, he may have found a better way out.

That is why I am asking you to commit to one day of sobriety during branding season. One day. If that feels good then do another day. Do as many days as you would like. The hope is that we will create a reason to be sober and more support for those who need it. To help those struggling with alcohol and su***de, I ask you to Venmo $5 to for each day you commit to being sober.

Please think of those we have lost and what are you willing to do for them now. Are you willing to give up one day of drinking in memory of them or to support a friend who is struggling?

You can support even more by covering the $5 per person in your branding crew. This would surely be a lot cheaper than cases of beer and bottles of whiskey. But the real reason is to send a message to those we have lost, saying they are worth a day of sobriety in your eyes. It’s telling a friend next to you that they are not alone.

To help show your support, wear a purple scarf/bandana/neckerchief and commit to being sober that day. This silent gesture makes it easier for people not to have to explain themselves for not drinking and shows you are there to support others who are choosing sobriety.

Pick a day, donate $5 to and commit to that day of sobriety this spring.

Let’s spread the word and get this movement going! We can’t afford to lose anyone else.

Ima Birch Creek Doll came to us from Galt Quarter Horses as a weanling. She has grown into a big, beautiful girl.

She was started last fall by Seventysix Ranch and headed off for more riding and some roping yesterday.

"Rosie" is 6 panel negative, and will be bred to Roll Your Nickles around the end of April. The resulting foal will be panel clean through parentage and has a 50% chance of being roan.

We like Rosie so much we are purchasing her dam🙂
