Replacing lithium batteries with h**p would make electric cars (and all our other gadgets) WAY more sustainable! Is there anything h**p can’t do? A year after h**p became legal to grow in the United States, we’ve seen its power to make better clothing, better buildings and better medicine. Now, ...

Henry Ford built a car out of h**p plastic that ran on h**p fuel almost a century ago. Why aren’t we driving it today? A year ago, Jay Leno featured a story about “the world’s first carbon-negative car” made of h**p plastic. The body of the car is lighter than […]

AAAAADOPTED!

Emergency foster home or foster-to-adopt home needed for Honey.

Since being surrendered on Friday, Honey has barely touched her food. She's terrified and confused being in a shelter after having a family for 6 yrs. She was surrendered because she wasn't getting along with the younger dog and cats in the home.

Sadly, the rescue Honey was adopted from refused to take her back into their care.

Honey is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. She needs to be the only pet in an adult home. Honey passed her temperament test here with flying colors and is a gentle, sweet soul who would love to be your companion. We are told Honey is reliably housebroken, loves car rides, enjoys camping and trustworthy when left alone but is also crate trained.

All supplies will be provided to foster home.
Please call the shelter if you can help 732-855-0600 x2034. DO NOT Private Message.

We cannot believe anyone still has to say this but...
BUNNIES ARE NOT EASTER PRESENTS!
We feel this needs to be stressed after the last 2 years of shelters being overwhelmed and local rabbit rescues so buried in bunnies that they are almost being pushed to the point of going under. We have heard these rescuers choke back tears because they cannot keep up.

The most given reason for surrender
"MY CHILD ISN'T TAKING CARE OF IT ANYMORE"
The fact is, the novelty wears off pretty quickly!

PLEASE STOP BREEDING, SELLING AND BUYING DOMESTIC RABBITS!!!

If you would like to add a bunny to your family we strongly suggest researching how much care, exercise, socialization, proper nutrition, veterinary care and time a bunny requires. Then go to your local shelter or rabbit rescue to ADOPT! More than likely they are filled with last year's Easter presents that are all waiting for homes.

Ummmmm what????

A giant, invasive spider could spread throughout the East Coast, a recent scientific study warns. The Joro spider, a yellow spider that can grow to about the size of a human palm, originated from Asia and was first seen in Georgia in 2013. In nearly 10 years, the species has rapidly spread across the state and other parts of the Southeast.

Experts say Joros are not a threat to humans, and they even eat pests like mosquitoes and stink bugs. But they do sometimes appear to fly by forming parachutes out of their webs and can travel up to 50 to 100 miles through the wind.

The University of Georgia study found that the spiders can survive in colder temperatures than those found in the Southeast, suggesting the species could take over much of the East Coast. ‘People should try to learn to live with them,’ said an author of the study in a statement. ‘If they’re literally in your way, I can see taking a web down and moving them to the side, but they’re just going to be back next year.’

Here's a render showing the scale comparison of System 003 vs. System 002.

Jenny is back in the patch to continue the cleanup while the team onshore is developing System 003, our first full-scale system (three times the size of System 002), and the blueprint for the full fleet.

UPDATE: WERE AT $855 AND A FACEBOOK CLOSED THE ORIGINAL FUNDRAISER 🤯 ALL DONATIONS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED THUS FAR SO THERE ARE NO WORRIES

We have already started to receive donations for the Betty White Challenge - we thank you so much. We believe in paying it forward and helping our community because community support helps sustain us.

Yesterday, a family lost everything in a devastating fire in Colonia. Donations for immediate needs will be collected tomorrow at the Colonia Fire House (please see the attachment from Mayor McCormac).

We have started a fundraiser TODAY because we can all pay it forward to help offset the veterinary costs for the family's two dogs that are hospitalized with smoke inhalation. We'd like to help ease the burden by donating 50% of our proceeds from the Betty White Challenge to the veterinary and ongoing care of the family' beloved dogs so they don't have to worry.

Furthermore, the shelter has reached out to offer kenneling for the pets should they need a place while the family transitions.
To honor Betty's legacy as a true pioneer in animal rescue, please consider a donation and click the link below. We thank you as always for your amazing support!
