As long as we are doing a short walk down memory lane, who remembers when Jersey stole the cake!
Oh boy, she's stolen so much food in her life. Short list: she's eaten almost 5 lbs of milk bones, 10 chocolate bars, 13 bags of 100 calorie pretzels, 6 dog stockings stuffed with treats, the 180 HEMP pill event, and I could go on an on!
Hey guys, I'm wrapping up the PAWS page and preparing the dogs to move in with their parents and I'm going through my many memories.
Tomorrow, I'll post a final video with all the dogs and memories that have touched my life in the last eight years. But here is a video we did in 2020 when my daughter and nephews were able to spend the day learning about what it takes to work with dogs. Cleaning poop and all....
Enjoy ....

Theo wanted to demonstrate what moving would look like to the other dogs, but we didn't have the right cameras for the best video shoot, so abandoned the idea. However, Theo is so stinking cute, we couldn't help but post our outtake from it!

It's not Disney World, but it's darn close!
These dogs have the best smiles on earth and we just wanted to start your day with a little of what makes the world a great place!

A couple of years back, this boy didn't like water AT ALL.
Happy Thursday, you're welcome!
It is officially summer! The solstice is upon us, we are out of school and just swimming/vacationing and enjoying the world.
This year if you are going to take your dog to the beach with you we thought it would be a good idea to remind you that the beach may say dog friendly, but there are many dangers that lurk if we are not careful.
We've found this really amazing article that is easy to read and informative. More importantly, be remember, dogs do need sunscreen, there is a thing as too much sun and sand for your dog, AND saltwater does not hydrate your dog.
Please join us in having a safe summer by becoming as knowledgeable as you can on all issues where your dog is concerned, even those things that seem harmless, like a day at the beach!

Some posts don't need any words!
This is that post! The joy and laughter we get everyday from these babies literally leaves us speechless.
Have a laugh with us today!
We don't always have the answers for why our dogs do what they do. But we can always learn from it!
In this case, Ricochet shows us, even when things don't make sense, a dog is always adorable!
Happy Tuesday!
Well, here we are again, heading into the weekend with eyes wide looking at all the possibilities for fun and adventure.
This week we leave you with some advice from our very own Audrey Mae. No matter what it is you are looking for or at, whether it's a short or long term goal, approach it with passion in your heart, stand tall and always go with the flow. That is the triumphant trio to success, have a great weekend!
A dramatic interpretation of what it's like in life sometime.
Have you ever been going through life, your head out the window just enjoying the fresh air. Then all of the sudden out of the blue, the wind kicks up and you seem to have lost control of your circumstance.
Just breathe, put your head down and push on through. If he's got this, you've got this. Happy Hump Day!
Well, since once again we've gone from manageable temps to super hot, we wanted to provide more information on our dogs and the impact of heat on them. The biggest impact: DEHYDRATION.
So as a quick started for this series, how do you make sure your dog has access to enough water. Going for a ride? To the park? For a walk? Bring a portable or collapsable bowl with you! Make sure the water you bring is cold, but (of course) not frozen. Do not go for extended periods of time without offering your dog water, and make sure the drink smaller more frequent amounts. Sometimes when they are too hot drinking too fast can cause them to vomit!
Two important points: 1. Never assume that because the dog is in water like a lake, river, pool, etc. that they are hydrated. Even if they are drinking the water (see Lucho video). 2. Make sure their water bowl in the house is always full as well. Please don't assume because they are in a cool or climate controlled environment that your dog is hydrated.
Happy hiking, walking, swimming or just sitting inside!
