If everyone can please share this little guy. He is looking for the perfect forever home for him! We have sat for a few deaf dogs and they are truly so astonishing. They communicate, trust me! In my experience, they have the coolest personalities with how they use their other senses.

Free Rabies Vaccines Event! Please share, you never know who this could help right now.

Thanks to a National Shelter Initiative grant from the ASPCA, PAWS is excited to announce that we’ll soon be hosting a free rabies vaccine day! Vaccines will be offered to the first 200 Rutherford County pets brought to the shelter on Wednesday, August 20th.

To assist as many residents as possible, we’ll be opening the shelter early just for vaccinations, which will be available first-come, first-served from 8 AM to 4 PM. From 8 to 12 we will ONLY be offering rabies vaccines, then the shelter will open for adoptions as normal starting at 12. Free vaccines will be offered through 4 PM or until 200 pets have been vaccinated.

What you’ll need:
🐾Photo ID showing your Rutherford County address
🐾Dogs leashed and cats in crates or carriers

Mark your calendars, and we’ll see you then!

One of my favorite games! Take treats and crumble them (i grab all the dust from the bottom of the bag too), leave a few bigger hunks that can be seen, and spread them out in the shady parts of your yard. I try to make it in a zigzag line. Once they work thru that line, walk to another part of the yard and do it again. It gets them sniffing, they’re not running in this heat, but getting an outlet for the anxiety and energy.

Beesley is always doing so much to help our furry friends! Please keep them in mind for monetary and food donations to help them do this amazing work!

Whew... yesterday we got in a 120-pound Chewy order that we placed using DONATED gift cards. Wow.. those really add up AND they had a sale!! Today, we were blessed with 160 pounds of Cat Food for our Outreach Program. A volunteer packed 240 pounds of cat food TODAY! TOMORROW, another volunteer will take 160 pounds cat food/160 pounds dog food for the First United Methodist Church Woodbury, TN Quarterly Mobile Pantry this weekend. Y'all keep us going in so many ways! THANK YOU!
