Carver Lake Veterinary Center opened in 1996 and is an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). We currently have six veterinarians and offer complete medical, dental, surgical, behavior and grooming care for all of your companion animals. Our goal is to become "Your Other Family Doctors" and provide compassionate, high-quality care for your pets.

Returning to school can be a big change for both kids and their furry friends. Here are some ideas to help keep dogs happy while their human companions are away:

Interactive Toys: Invest in puzzle toys that dispense treats or kibble when solved. These can keep your dog mentally stimulated for hours.

Long Walks: Before you head off to school, take your dog for a longer walk than usual. This gives them some quality time with you and burns off excess energy.

Comfort Items: Leave some items with your scent, like a worn T-shirt or a blanket, to comfort your dog while you’re away.

Calming Devices: Use calming collars, sprays, or diffusers that can help soothe your dog during the day, especially if they experience separation anxiety.

Dog Walker: Hire a dog walker to come in the middle of the day for a quick break, a walk, and some companionship.
