Always a pleasure working with Watertown Parks-Rec Dept! What a fun filled Christmas Tree lighting and parade with Santa’s alpaca/reindeer! Cayden enjoyed his night out and seeing all the lights!

We had such a blast with our alpacas & little calf Cayden! What a turn out it was! Thank you Watertown Parks-Rec Dept for having us this year!! Next year we need bigger costumes! Apparently everyone grew since then 😂

When ALL the girls are screaming at you and clingy because they ALL are in heat. 😑 It’s quite noisy in the goat paddock these days! Sorry ladies but we are taking a break from goat breeding this year! Maybe next year!

It was an absolutely GORGEOUS day to celebrate a birthday party with alpacas & goats! What a lovely afternoon! Next weekend will be some our last few public outings this year! It’s been a long week as I’m sure many have been experiencing some sort of tragedy or impact from last weekends storm. We were blessed to skate away with just a little wash out on our grazing pastures, but for us it’s been a long week waiting for our OBGYN appointment to find out what our options for Baby A are and now we have some decisions to make. Wednesday morning we saw a post about a second goose who had turned up after the storm in Southbury and we knew we had to step in and offer him a home on our farm with our mixed flock. Sunday’s storm decimated Ozzie’s home and his owner was forced to release his animals because he was being evacuated for a gas leak. Our hearts are just so broken from seeing all the destruction to Southbury and Oxford where many of our friends and family live. Ozzie is learning the ropes and finding his place within the flock. Our goal is that one of our females will become his bonded mate!

Miss grumpy ducky over here has the wrath of Zeus himself. I have never experienced such a vile angry duck before all over protecting two eggs.

Moms & babies enjoying their dirt baths.

Sound on for cuteness overload! Moms hatched their new babies! & the dads and moms are working together to raise them. You can hear both sets of parents clucking to the babies to teach them how and where to eat! Two little black babies will be up for new zip codes soon!

These crazy babies never stop! Filled with energy, all they do is play! I think mom has mastered the piggy back rides as you will see in this video 🐐 enjoy watching these babies bounce around and play!

Our turkey friend is starting to explore the back yard. Apparently she likes the view off the back deck 🦃

The paca parade to the lower pasture for grazing while the weather & grass is still good.

Yesterday 5 new boys arrived home and the introduction was a success! They are already accepted into the heard and making themselves at home. You can see the new boys with their yellow collars. Thank you @copper_star_alpaca for these good looking boys! 🦙

Unsure at first, but when Sangria made the leap everyone followed suit.

Let’s introduce you to our newest addtional! Khaki & Campbell. These are our two rescue baby Khaki Campbell Ducklings. (Original, we know 😄) We believe everything happens for a reason and we can’t wait to watch these two grow up! We are just started introducing supervised water time so they begin to develop the skills needed for adulthood!
