As our show year comes to a close, I have to say this was the most educational and rewarding show year I’ve ever had. I think the coolest part was that I got to wear almost every hat that goes along with it! From hosting a show, to being a coach, to grooming through the summer for the most incredible horses and people, to being a trainer and bringing clover to her very first show, to showing my own perfect horse and making our national derby debut, all the way to stewarding 2 IEA shows… I think all I left out was judging!!

Some huge highlights were of course Keeley and Merlin coming in reserve champion at CHJA finals(that day will live in history for me forever!), Lenny coming in reserve champion twice in the tb hunters in Florida and then champion in the short stirrup with the Littles everytime they took him, Luxe coming in 3rd in a huge 3’ class in Florida and scoring an 84 in the handy round of the fieldstone derby, Susannah and Merlin reserve champion at the Farmington derby, Keeley and Merlin champion there too, and now to add….. Madelyn ending the year as CHJA champion in the Short Stirrup Equitation, Aubrey champion in Leadline, and Keeley somewhere around 6th in the Short Stirrup Eq!

I’m not sure how we could top this year, but I’m super excited to see what our 2026 show year brings!! I’m so grateful for both my Windcrest and Barre Equestrian barn families for contributing to all of our success and fun at each show 💜🥇🏆🏅

Shows 2 and 3 of the weekend DID NOTTTT disappoint!!!

Am I tired? Yes. Is Merlin tired? I’m sure! Running around all over the state is a lot. Taking care of 10 horses in the midst of that is a lot. And still managing to get my boys at home ridden adds to it too. But Berry is game for it all so we all have to be too!!

After Keeley and Madelyn’s awesome day yesterday, Madelyn rose to the occasion yet again with a clean sweep of firsts in the short stirrup equitation at Folly this morning to end up champion with Cherrybrook Blue Magic!! She had strong, solid trips over fences and a beautiful flat!

The day continued at Fox Ridge for one of our most successful IEA shows yet!! We didn’t have our full team and still managed for our high school team to end up 3rd and middle school was 4th.

Congratulations to Hannah, Eliza, and Keeley on each of their first places!

Congratulations to Sky on her 6th in a huge walk trot class.

Hannah, Eliza, and Reese all qualified for regionals today too!!!!

What a weekend!! Thank you Susannah Drap for holding down the IEA fort while Madelyn and I made our mad dash all over!

1st of 3 horseshows this weekend 😂

Keeley and Madelyn killed it at Westbrook today! They tied in the Short Stirrup Eq with 2 firsts and 2 seconds each!

🧙Keeley had more over fences points so she came home champion with our perfect Cherrybrook Blue Magic and also qualified for CHJA finals!

🐢Madelyn was reserve champion with Just Keep Swimming and is gearing up for another fun filled day with Merlin tomorrow!!!

Awesome day at TerryAllen for our IEA show yesterday!

Middle school team came in 3rd!!

Congratulations to Eliza, Reese, and Madelyn on winning their classes!

Madelyn also won the sportsmanship award AND qualified for regionals!

Louie, Vino, Bruiser, Maverick, and Crush were all fantastic all day!

Thank you to our wonderful barn family for making such a crazy day run so smoothly!!!! From packing, to unpacking, to somehow still getting all the barn chores done we could not have done it without you!!!

We’ve had a pretty productive week!!

From our Election Day IEA show at TerryAllen where both teams came in 4th place (high school missed 3rd by 1 point!) to Equine Affaire on Friday, to our Halloween Parade and fun show yesterday, we are constantly reminded what a fantastic barn family we have and what wonderful ponies keep us so tightly knit together 💜

Let’s catch up!!

Last week we had a fantastic co host IEA show with One Above Farm! 6 of our perfect ponies joined us and everyone rode great!!! We started the season off right on the right foot, Keeley even won the sportsmanship award!!!🏆

Yesterday some of our IEA team rode at Windcrest and also had a great day!!! The middle school team even ended up 3rd overall!

Today we had a fantastic day at Westbrook Hunt Club for a regular show. Madelyn was champion in a competitive group with Cherrybrook Blue Magic in the Short Stirrup Eq!! Essie and Call Sign Maverick were champion in the Walk Trot Pleasure!!!

While the kids have team time, the adults have their own version 😂 always things to do to improve our wonderful home!!! Tonight was a last minute skid steer rental to level the ring 🔨🚜⚙️💪🏼 we have the best property manager!!

Nearly 2 weeks behind from sharing our successful show at Sea Horse!! Any idea how busy we’ve been?!

Berry has been a fantastic copilot through some spur of the moment trips over the last few weeks (see what we did there 😋). From North Carolina and back within a day, to Michigan and back (that one pushed a day by a few hours), Massachussets and back and Vermont and back we have some huge exciting things going on…

One of which is celebrating the engagement of Secretary Susannah and Property Manager Cole!!!! Congratulations to 2 of our favorite people and vital parts of our barn family 🥂💜
