🚨ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD WASTE IN THE BULK CONTAINER AT THE TRANSFER STATION ALLOWED!🚨
We need to address an incident from this morning. Bill from the transfer station found raccoons in the bulk container this morning which is HIGHLY UNUSUAL because this container is for large NONFOOD items like furniture and construction demolition, etc. The poor raccoons too scared to leave now at risk of being crushed because this container is compacted, put us in danger saving them. Bill, Rich and I worked together to free them BUT at RISK to us, risk to Bill & Rich who had to open the container door & move large broken pieces of trash, then added risk of a high fall to Rich & Bill who worked from above on the edge of the container with long poles to move trash and call out where the raccoons were. Risk to me to walk into the end of the container where there is broken glass, pieces of metal, boards with rusty nails and what shouldn't be in there a HUGE rotting contractor size bag of food! So because 1 person didn't want to buy an orange bag OR DUMP FOR FREE into the food waste bin 3 humans were put at risk. NO FOOD AT ALL IN THE BULK BIN!
