Meet Maui! Our November Dog of the Month
Maui is the most gentle soul our family could ask for. He loves to play tug of war, cuddle with his humans, go on long hikes, have all the treats he can get his chops on and his fur brother Niko (family cat). He has been the best big brother to our 7 month old daughter and 22 month old son.

🎃 Pumpkin Power for Pets! 🎃
Pumpkin isn’t just a fall favorite in coffee—it’s a healthy treat for your pet too! 🐶 This fiber-packed snack supports digestion and is loaded with vitamins A and C to boost their immune system.

For a healthy serving, try these amounts:

Extra-small (2-20 lbs): 2-3 teaspoons
Small (21-30 lbs): 1-2 tablespoons
Medium (31-50 lbs): 2-3 tablespoons
Large (51-90 lbs): 4-5 tablespoons
Extra-large dogs (91+ lbs): ¼ cup

Start with a smaller amount and work your way up to these serving sizes! Be sure to use plain, canned pumpkin—no sugary and spicy pie filling. Does your pet love pumpkin?

Bringing your cat(s) into the hospital can be a stressful event for both you and your cat. Keeping them protected during travel is best done with a safe carrier built specifically for your cat's needs.

For cat carrier safety, choose a durable, well-ventilated carrier that’s the right size for your cat to stand and turn around comfortably. Ensure it has secure locks and strong handles, with soft padding inside for comfort. If traveling by car, opt for crash-tested models for extra protection.

Reducing fear, anxiety, and stress is our top priority when caring for your pets. We understand that bringing cats out of their familiar home environment can heighten their stress levels, increasing the risk of fear-related behaviors. This, in turn, can lead to potential injuries to them, yourself, and our team. That's why it's crucial to handle cats with care and minimize anxiety during their visits to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for everyone involved.

Kelly’s exemplary work ethic and ability to lead by example make her an invaluable member of the team. Her direct yet compassionate communication ensures every pet gets the best care, and her exceptional technical skills, especially in surgery, allow her to handle a wide range of cases with confidence and calmness. 🌟

As the radiology safety lead, Kelly runs annual safety training for the team, ensuring everyone performs their tasks safely and effectively. Not only is she an incredible vet tech, but she is also a kind and considerate coworker— most recently she cooked lunch for that annual safety training, and was sure to provide options for her gluten-free and vegetarian co-workers - she is incredibly thoughtful! 🍲💚

“Hi, my name is Kyzer! I am 2 years old and a Siberian husky! My mom calls me her happy boy as I’m always just happy to be here! I love to go on walks and I love to run around and play with my mom and dad. I also love to bug my older brother until he gives in to play with me! I also LOVE food and treats! I come to HRAH for everything even though it’s not my favorite place, I always get tons of treats here!”
