Available!

Meet Briar!

Briar is the last available pup from our Honey B litter! Miss Briar is bold and curious! She was a natural leader amongst her litter mates but is also submissive to older/larger dogs. She seems to be fearless and would likely make a good canine sport competitor! After a hard day of playing and activity, Miss Briar does love a bit of snuggle time. Briar is doing well with house and crate training. She has some sound sensitivities to loud noises. She MUST go to a training savvy home that has a fenced in yard, she isn’t afraid to push her boundaries 😉

If you are interested in adopting Briar, please fill out an application and contact her foster parent at [email protected]. BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting the foster dogs. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.

Coming soon!

Meet Emmy! Emmy recently arrived to her foster home and has been the perfect houseguest! She gets along well with the resident dogs, has earned full house and yard privileges, and never strays far when off leash! Her foster mom claims she’s “perfect in every way!” Emmy won’t be available for a few more weeks due to being evaluated still but we had to share her pretty face!

Stay tuned!

THE LAST RIDE
I took my dog for a walk before he fell asleep forever .... He had cancer
"With a broken heart and a soul full of pain, I said goodbye to the best dog friend I ever had, "LA MACE", the Maceolove, my four-legged friend was fighting cancer and suffered a lot from me to accept the sacrifice to make him stop suffering ... but not before giving him a last ride in the car as he liked, and a moment just for the two of us to thank him "for being so noble, loyal and love to me and my family ... The best dog I ever had ...
My mace! MY MACERMOSO! I WILL NEVER FORGET! MY FRIEND" See less

September 28 is . While the number of confirmed equine cases every year is low, talking about this disease remains important because of the potential for human exposure—which does NOT have to involve a bite from an infected horses, as contact of skin or mucosa with the horse’s saliva could be enough to transmit the disease.

Rabies has many faces but they are all deadly—once a horse shows clinical signs, the animal invariably dies within a few days as there is no treatment.
The good news is that modern vaccines are highly effective and current AAEP recommendations list rabies as one of the “core vaccines” that should be given to all horses annually to maintain immunity (read the full AAEP vaccination guidelines here: https://aaep.org/guidelines/vaccination-guidelines)

Equine rabies is a real risk for all horses, and a public health concern as well. Be sure to set up a regular vaccination schedule with your veterinarian if you haven’t already done so, and remember that strange behavior on behalf of your equine friend is always a valid reason to check in with your horse doctor!
