Year End High Point Champion — Maraschino EE (aka Froggie). So proud of Froggie she won this year end high point at her first show out! What a special horse she was to bring along for her first outings. I am excited to watch her continue to grow and develop with her new mom, Lara Schmauser!

These two pictures are a month and half apart—her connection is so much more developed. She is truly moving through her back towards the bit in balance. Developing that connection has been so fun and the progress is so rewarding.

Are you looking ahead to 2024–wanting to ride more, learn more and maybe show?
I have a spectacular in-barn/program half lease coming available in the new year! Scout will be looking for a new half lease partner - he is a seasoned show horse, not for a true beginner but rather he’s best suited for an experienced rider looking to develop the fundamentals of dressage at training/first level. He is experienced at training and first level, he’s qualified for regional champs each season he’s gone out — he has a lot to teach his new partner! Half lease offers rider the opportunity for three rides per week (two lessons and one “hack” ride), clinic opportunities and the potential to do some showing. Lease would be based at Chestnut Lane Farm in Woodinville and training would be with Heather Courtney (USDF bronze, bronze of distinction, silver medalist and USDF Equitation medal recipient through elite level, US Dressage Finals competitor). Finding the right match for Scout is priority — contact me for details.

As we settle into fall and doing homework in the absence of show season, I felt like a glow up would be fun! I am so lucky to call Jessica Wisdom ( ) my friend and a trusted resource in finding quality horses to develop. Over the winter in 2022 I visited her field to search for my next partner—there I found Kitkat (Froggie too). As you can see Kitkat was a happy little brumby who was growing up in a happy herd of peers—we brought her home the following year (this past spring) and started her. She was uncomplicated, happy, healthy and wonderful! I can’t say enough about our local breeders! There are so many quality horses being bred in our area—I can’t encourage people enough to look local when searching for prospects, there are so many great horses right here in our neck of the woods!
Many thanks to Jessica for her breeding program and willingness to help me source my next heart horse! I have Kitkat’s full brother and can’t wait to post more of him as he develops-Jessica has another full sibling in utero who is available as well!

The beautiful Kitkat (aka Diamond Allure EE) was fantastic at the USDF Young Horse Symposium. She has been under saddle on and off since last spring and he slow start is serving her well, she’s developing into a lovely confident mare. ❤️

I am so thankful—what a great day! Our group did amazingly well in all of their classes! We had a personal best (and qualifying score) for Claire and Hero with a 70+%!!! Maddie (.mad.mad.madeline) rocked her first time down centerline with four year old Froggie and got a qualifying score!! She also put in a nice ride in the A/A Eq class on Quest! Abby and Maddie made their Eq class debuts and did fantastically as well! I could t be prouder and more excited to work with these great ladies!

I love this! Cancer has touched us all, either directly or indirectly, I for one want to lend my support to this event! I ask my fellow competitors to do the same—sponsor a pink ribbon for your horse to wear during competition, join the apple bob, or participate in the other fun events! Let’s pull together and support this fund raiser!!!

I am in! My barn will be sporting pink ribbons on all of our entered horses in next Weekend’s Cancer Benefit show!!! I challenge my friends and fellow competitors to get involved in the fun fundraising events taking place during this great show!!!! Get involved to celebrate and honor those we know and love who have been touched by cancer!!!

What a great day!!! Today I had the honor of coaching five great riders at the EI Schooling Show. All riders brought great attitudes and incredible riding talents! Everyone had great scores — 60’s up to 70%! I am so lucky to work with these incredible ladies! ❤️ Many thanks to our team support crew today— Maddie B., she was a rockstar!

Way to go Samuel Courtney! He got back in the show ring today at the Spring Fling show—and he rocked it with a 65%!! That gives him his first qualifying score for regional championships! Woot woot!!!
