Rainland Farm Equine Clinic is excited to announce that on July 5th, we will be welcoming the addition of a new veterinarian to our practice! Caroline Wollman, DVM has been busy completing her education at Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital and is very excited to start her veterinary career with us and all of you! Caroline’s undergraduate degree was obtained at Cornell University in New York.

Caroline has ridden most of her life, owned her own horse for over eleven years and has competed in hunter/jumper competitions. She has obtained valuable experience through many externships at numerous equine veterinary clinics including two at Rainland Farm Equine Clinic. Alpha2EQ is a new orthobiologic therapy to address inflammation of joint and soft tissue degeneration in horses. We are excited to announce that Rainland Farm Equine Clinic has added this new and safe regenerative therapy to our practice.

It is produced by a complex processing of the patients own blood. It is a highly refined molecule that eliminates many inflammatory substances that are produced after an injury to joints and other soft tissue areas such as tendons and ligaments. Alpha2EQ is appropriate for all acute injuries and allows follow up with other treatments such as PRP, BMAC (stem cell) and Prostride. A number of Alpha2EQ therapeutic doses can be used from a single collection that can be used immediately or frozen for later use. The dose of Alpha2EQ is dependent on the size of the joint or the size of the injured soft tissue.

If you are interested in Alpha2EQ as a therapy option for the care of lameness, osteoarthritis or joint pain in your horse, please call the office to speak to a veterinarian for additional information.
