Words can’t describe how proud I am of Chelsea and Tex today.

To be the sole breeder-owner-handler in a sea of beautiful 15 inch beagle placements and select dog at that! What a win today as a breeder and owner!

To breed and own dogs of this quality is why we do it - and to do it with someone you adore and call a friend is the best feeling ever. Thank you Chelsea for your friendship, and care of our boy. For sharing vision for beagles and an opportunity of a lifetime with Pud.

I guess the 2024 Canine Chronical stats came out the other day and I missed it - LOL.

I wanted to acknowledge all of my dogs that made it to the CC rankings this year and their incredible owners/co-owners - some of whom are brand new to the breed or even showing - I am so thankful that we have a village of people to love and show and give the best homes to dogs born here at Kazuri.

What a year 2024 was - and what an exciting year of possibilities to come in 2025.

Top 20 achievements for 2024

TEX - OHBIS GCH Kazuri N Van-Mar Trouble In Texas (15 inch) finished the year at #6 Breed and #5 Owner Handler. A huge thank you to Mike and Karen Kurtzner who showed Tex till May, and then co-owner/co-breeder Chelsea Metteer and co-owner Hillary Arnaud for piloting him the rest of the year!

MURPHY - RBIS GCH Kazuri's Everything's Gonna Be Alright (13 inch) who started his year in August and finished with #4 in Breed! Huge thank you to Randy Benz and co-owner Sarah Smith-Falkner who present him so beautifully

CALLIE - GCH Kazuri's Everything's Sugar N Spice (13 inch) finished the year #7 Breed and #8 Owner Handler piloted by little old me Sarah Sweetman - I love this sweet n spicy nugget who has been a joy to show and will now be retired for the most part.

And not to forget:
MAXIM - GCH Kazuri's Rocking the naughty list at Roylcrest owned by Lorna and Sam Boydston, who finished the year in #24 position after only showing a handful of weekends. He garnered multiple OH Group and regular Group placements

DEEJAY - Kazuri's Do You Get DeJa Vu - she's one point from finishing her CH title and has already gathered BOV wins and a group placement from the classes - she finished #33 in Breed

SAVANNAH - GCH Kazuri's Everything's Gonna Be Peachy finished the year at #36 Breed and #15 Owner Handler with Malia Throop on her lead with multiple OH Group and regular Group placements. Vannah is under 2 and they are such a great team already

Kazuri had a wonderful weekend at the Whidbey Island cluster. I am so thankful to all the friends that were there helping me show my dogs as I still am on lifting restrictions.

Dutch (BISS GCHB Van-Mar N Kazuri Brewin Up Trouble) finished his Bronze GCH by going BOV under judge Ms. Denise Flaim on the first day. He didn't show the rest of the weekend. Bred by Sarah Sweetman & Chelsea Metteer, owned by Sarah Smith-Falkner, Sarah Sweetman & Chelsea Metteer

Maxim (GCHB Kazuri's Rocking The Naughty List at Roylcrest) finished his Bronze GCH by going BOV under judge Allen L Odom. Bred by Sarah Sweetman, Mike & Karen Kurtzner, owned by Lorna & Sam Boydston & Sarah Sweetman

Murphy (GCHB Kazuri's Everything's Gonna Be Alright) went BOV under judges Mary Dukes and Mr Allen L Odom. Bred by Sarah Sweetman, Mike & Karen Kurtzner, owned by Sarah Smith-Falkner & Sarah Sweetman

Lucy Grey (Wilderness You Can't Take My Sass) finished her CH title by going WB/BOW/BOS over a special for her final major. We moved her up and she got select B the other two days under judges Mary Dukes and Mr Allen L Odom. Bred by Mrs. Diana K Cazier & Cheyenne Wohlschlegel. Owned by Malia Throop & Sarah Sweetman.

Chase (Kazuri's Chasin' The Dream) got his first major by going WD/BOW from the puppy class under judge Mary Dukes. Bred by Sarah Sweetman, Mike & Karen Kurtzner, owned by Sarah Sweetman

Whimsy (Joyful Noise N Kazuri's Just Glitter In The Wind) went WB under judges Mary Dukes and Mr Allen L Odom. Bred by Dolly Stearns & Sarah Sweetman. Owned by Dolly Stearns and Ruthie Tesky.

We loved seeing friends and were so happy that Tommie finished his GCH with owner Sarah Y. We were thrilled that Schroeder finished his CH title with owner Linda K, and Linus finished his GCH with Kayla on behalf of owner Kelly M. It was a great weekend to share points and enjoy so many titles being earned.

I am so proud of one of my little up-coming puppies who played in the Beginner Pup classes in Idaho and then in Wenatchee. Sadie - aka Kazuri's Driving Miss Sadie.

Her first tryst around the ring ended in a BOV (beating another 13 inch beagle) and a Bpup Hound group2. Her second time in the ring, she beat her brother Malibu for BOV and then went onto a Bpup Hound group 1.

I am so so proud of this sassy, confident little girl who is out of Meadow Crest's Blue My Mind (CHEVY) and Kazuri's Everything I Ever Wanted TKN (CLEO). Thank you so much to Annette for allowing me to use Chevy - we got such wonderful fun loving and sassy puppies out of this litter.

Kazuri's Driving Miss Sadie. I can't wait to see her show for real when she is eligible in 2025.
