Update on Talina- Yakutian Laika are a versatile breed with individuals dogs potentially capable of Mushing, Hunting, Herding, Canicross, Bikejoring, FastCAT, Obedience, Rally, Agility, Conformation, Companionship, Service work, & more!
We are passionate about this remarkable breed, and we hope you will find an interest in them too! Since the start of our program, we have witnessed their positive impact to numerous people with disabilities.

Talina (Osiris x Isis) is no exception. She was placed as a companion and has blossomed.
Her owner, whom struggles with disabilities, updated us.
“Nila (formerly Talina) is doing fantastic! She wakes me up by licking my hand and during the day, if she wants my attention, she’ll do a cute little howl whilst wagging her tail and prancing. It’s almost like a little happy dance! She loves bringing me “animal bone gifts” on our scent walks. She’s a hoot! She gets me out of bed ~ and more importantly ~ out of the house, I’m grateful to you and your program for matching her to me!”

Update on Ada and Pharoah!!!
We are home! Pharaoh was SO good. We took him to a big parade with all the emergency vehicles, horses, a marching band, political floats and all the drama from the crowd that goes with them, and a steel drum band. He sat up and watched, but didn't shy away at all. We didn't even use his ear pro or give him any chews for that part. Then he walked all over downtown Petoskey in festival type crowds without a hitch, even going through very tight aisles in some stores without brushing up against merchandise. Earlier that day, we went to my Aunt and Uncle's community pool and we were absolutely accosted by another woman who lives there, trying to deny us access and even entrance at all. I was pleasantly surprised that Pharaoh didn't try to hide behind me at all during that one, just stood politely. That lady was pretty intense. The problem was solved and he stayed in his down-stay the entire time Ada played in the pool (about 1.5 hours). I guess there is a resident with a "fake" service dog, so I can sort of understand the concern.
At any rate, the fourth was SO intense for him that I let him stay home with my mom while we went to Mackinac Island. I'm glad I did as it was rainy and miserable in the morning, which resulted in muddy and muggy in the afternoon. We skipped breakfast on travel days and had zero issues on the road.
