Pet Adoption and Wellness Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, from high-kill shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, and trainers, we are able to rescue animals, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well-matched, carefully-screened forever

homes. We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.

Looking for a sweet lap cat? This beautiful girl was adopted and unfortunately her owner who she was with for 2 years is going off to grad school that will not allow the kitty. Her name is Sandy. Please reach out if interested in meeting her she will be at our adoption event next Sunday at Pet Food Express in Davis from 2:00 to 4:00 as well.

HELP! Although appreciated, it is crucial to emphasize that prayers alone are insufficient in ensuring the well-being and safety of dogs and cats. While spiritual support and divine intervention hold significance, practical actions and human involvement are essential in addressing the issue of pet homelessness and shelter overcrowding.

It is a common misconception that mere prayers can resolve the problem. In reality, over a million dogs and countless cats reside in shelters, highlighting the inadequacy of relying solely on prayers. To effectively address this situation, we must actively engage in various tangible efforts that have proven effective in saving pets.

Sharing posts on social media platforms can significantly increase the visibility of pets available for adoption or fostering, thereby enhancing their chances of finding loving homes. Fostering and adopting pets directly contribute to reducing the shelter population and providing these animals with the care and companionship they deserve.

Pledging financial support, donating essential supplies, and volunteering time at animal shelters are additional ways to make a positive impact. These actions demonstrate our commitment to animal welfare and provide the necessary resources to support the work of dedicated volunteers and foster carers.

It is important to recognize that saving pets requires dedication, hard work, and a willingness to invest time and effort. Simply praying without taking tangible steps is not sufficient. By actively participating in these initiatives, we can collectively make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets in need.

A beautiful, sweet dog that is a really good boy! He is fully vetted, he is neutered he is vaccinated he's housetrained. He turns one-year-old this month. If you would like more information or would like to Foster please DM. Paws will take care of all the food, supplies and any medical thank you!

Hi all, are you looking for an adult kitty? Have a couple of unfortunate situations and time is an issue. This sweet girl, Angelina belonged to an older woman who passed away and her caretaker told the daughter she loved the cat and wanted it. Unfortunately, the cat was then dumped in the Dunnigan area, far from anyone and the kitty was originally from Lafayette. Thankfully, she was chipped but sad to say, the daughter is remodeling her home and planning a wedding and sadly is not interested in taking her moms cat back or trying to find it a home. She is in foster with other kitties but not big on other cats as I think she was aggressed upon during her time of abandonment. She is a sweet girl with humans and beautiful shape especially considering what she has been through. She is 5 yrs old and chipped :) She will be getting vaccinations this weekend. If you are interested in helping this sweet girl out, give us a shout or fill out an application @ pawspetadoption.org.
