Sometimes working at a shelter is hard.

Today was one of those days—it was raining, and we had just received news that two dogs were being returned. The mood in the office was heavy and somber. Someone suggested turning on music for a lift; another person said what we really needed was coffee.

Then, as if on cue, we looked up and saw two amazing Dutch Bros employees walk in, delivering a dose of holiday cheer in the form of gift cards!

Thank you so much, Dutch Bros, for your generosity and for brightening our day when we needed it most. Your kindness reminds us that there’s so much good in the world—and it keeps us going, even on tough days. ❤️

A HUGE thank-you to our incredible local Girl Scout Service Unit (Davis, Woodland, Winters, Dixon) for choosing the Yolo County Animal Shelter as the charity for their Holiday Boutique! 🐾💚 Your kindness and support mean so much to the animals in our care. Together, we’re making tails wag and hearts happy this holiday season! 🎄✨

The final numbers just came in. Thanks to your generosity the shelter raised just over $9,000. This money will be used toward medical expenses for those animals in need. Thank you!
