Murphy graduates tomorrow. This Cavalier King Charles is a love bug, but a handful. He came all the way from PA to train with Jake. His issues with other dogs and chasing cars were a big issue. He is now a reformed young man!

This is with the deepest sadness we post the passing of Lisa Sagely. She was the brightest light on the darkest days for so many rescue dogs. She poured her heart and soul into rescue. Her and JD are personally responsible for saving the countless lives of one of the most misunderstood breeds.

JD is going to need all the help he can get with finding some of these sweet pups homes in the very near future. As soon as we have the pictures, we will be posting the available dogs.

🐾 Potty Training Tips for Your New Puppy! 🐾

Bringing home a new puppy is exciting, but potty training can feel a bit overwhelming. Don’t worry! With consistency and patience, you and your puppy will be on the right track in no time. Here are some tips to help:

Establish a Routine: Puppies thrive on routine. Take them outside frequently, especially after eating, drinking, playing, or waking up.

Pick a Potty Spot: Designate a specific spot outside where you want your puppy to go. The familiar scent will remind them of what they need to do.

Positive Reinforcement: Praise and reward your puppy immediately after they go potty outside. This helps them associate the action with positive outcomes.

Watch for Signs: If your puppy starts sniffing around or circling, it’s a sign they need to go. Act quickly and guide them outside.

Accidents Happen: Don’t punish your puppy for accidents. Clean it up thoroughly to remove any lingering odors that might encourage them to go in the same spot again.
