We hope that you all had a good Christmas, and it carries through the new year. We have a heck of a show this week, we may run into overtime. We’re going to have an awesome Happy Adoption Story guest. Felicia was on the show back on January 14th. Felicia has since been adopted, got a new name, Callie, and she’s coming back to let us know how she’s doing. Lori’s coming back with her three, 3 month old fosters, Fiona, Frankie, and Phoebe. They’re with New 2U Rescue: https://new2urescue.org/ We also have 2 year old Thor in Oregon joining us with his GPRS foster mom. Meanwhile, back in Texas, 2 year old Sky will be here, she’s an awesome. Last but certainly not least, Luna will be her with her 4 puppies. We have 11 dogs altogether on this week, that’s exciting.
We hope you can join us.

It’s almost Sunday already. I think congratulations are in order for Willow in Utah, her foster mama adopted her. Good job Chelsee. We have some great dogs on again this week.

Apple will join us from Texas. She’s around 6 months old with a heart full of love and a tail that wags for everyone. Her foster mom says the way it looks, she just may be a Pocket Pyr. That’s the perfect size to snuggle without taking up all your space. Sky’s web page is: https://www.greatpyreneesrescuesociety.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=20992818

Beth couldn’t make it last week, but she will be here this week. She’s around 2 years old with eyes so soulful they could write poetry. Beth gets along beautifully with other dogs, both male and female, and would love to have a canine buddy in her forever home. Catch her live on Sunday, and you can read more about her on her web page: https://www.greatpyreneesrescuesociety.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=20999620

We have a very Happy Adoption Story joining us too. Dubois, who is now Austin, and his family will share how they made bringing a new dog home, and make it look easy.
Future adopters and fosters may want to hear this.
We hope you can tune in and join us.

Bonnie is an absolute joy and one of the most low maintenance dogs you will meet!

She came to her new foster two months ago and a quiet environment with a regular routine has done wonders!

The first couple of weeks were an adjustment with her foster brother. Bonnie wanted a safe, dark space (in this case the guest bedroom) and growled at her foster brother the first few days when he came in.

After a week, they were getting along swimmingly and sleeping in the same room together. Now Bonnie initiates play with her foster brother at least once a day (generally before their morning walk).

Bonnie weighed 107 lbs when she came to her foster home and with daily exercise and a healthy diet (all natural people food, think the Farmers dog) she has lost at least 10 lbs.

She loves her daily walks (about an hour each day) but would probably be fine with less. She is one of the laziest dogs you will meet!

-loves to sleep
-good with bathing and having her nails cut
-loves to eat (she and her foster brother wait for their food together but she will bark or growl if he trying to take over her “food” territory
-does not chew or have separation anxiety.
-Very independent.
-Likes to dig once in awhile
-is a Pyrnees and likes to patrol the perimeter and notify her owners of any “danger”
- not a fence jumper!
- great with people and pre-teens.
- great with younger kids- unknown- hasn’t been exposed
- very good with medium to large size dogs WITH a proper introduction
-small dogs unknown. Has encountered a few and ignored them. Thought one was prey. Again a proper introduction is crucial for any dog.

Bonnie would do best in a quiet home with a regular routine. Although she likes to carve out her own private space, having owners home more often than not will give her the security she needs.

We need to pull these two to safety, they are quickly declining and have started to fight each other in the shelter. They came in bonded and living in a small kennel 99% of the day they turned on one another. They are now separated in kennels next to each other. We have to pull both together. It can be separate homes but each home has to have other pups. But we won’t leave one behind. Please step up and help us!
