o positive self esteem. Trillium Farm’s training program supports both pleasure and competitive riders to enjoy their riding experience to the fullest while achieving their personal goals. Both horse and rider are given personalized attention to ensure they receive the best possible care and training. The boutique lesson program creates individually catered lessons to those who do not yet own/lease their own horse, and gives them the horsemanship skills necessary to prepare for the next step: leasing, owning, and showing. Trillium Farm specializes in matching horses and riders together once the client is ready. Trainer Etsuko Sakimura II has years of experience accompanying her clients to find their next partner and equine friend. Etsuko II has been training horses and educating equestrians for over 20 years. She operates Trillium Farm out of the beautiful Portola Farms in Woodside, CA.

Our Story

Trillium Farm is a full service hunter/jumper/equitation training and lesson barn, dedicated to teaching passionate riders who seek a supportive community to engage with. The program educates its riders to have strong horsemanship skills, giving them the confidence to tackle goals from the ground up. With its friendly learning atmosphere, Trillium Farm nurtures not only strong riders, but also positive self esteem. Trillium Farm’s training program supports both pleasure and competitive riders to enjoy their riding experience to the fullest while achieving their personal goals. Both horse and rider are given personalized attention to ensure they receive the best possible care and training. Shows range from local schooling shows to rated shows throughout the greater Bay Area and Central Coast, with full show support available to its riders. The full service barn provides turnout, blanketing, supplements and more 7 days a week so you never have to worry about your horse's well being.

The carefully selected lesson horses are proven educators, providing invaluable support to the rider’s learning experience.
