Bella loves her new bed! I made sure to order a bed that will support her back and be comfortable for her when she sleeps. Dachshunds have a tendency to have back issues, so this bed is perfect!

For a 2024 resolution, I have decided NOT to take my sweet pup, Bella, to a groomer.

I have never liked leaving her for 3-4 hours at a time, plus, I was never quite certain that the sanitary conditions were up to my standards.

Moving forward, I will use the trimmers I received at Christmas (from her sweet Uncle Chaser) to spruce up her long-haired coat, and I will use scissors as needed for other hard-to-reach areas.

I am definitely not a professional dog groomer, but I watched a few YouTube videos on grooming and dog hair styling so I had a good idea on where to begin.

Her first hair-cut and grooming attempt was just this past week with her Uncle Chaser and me, and it was a success! Bella did a great job and she looks fantastic! She is one happy and adorable pup! 🐶

The cats like our setup for them! They are constantly laying in the straw. This kitty is we named Pop. He is so loving that he comes to see us on our back porch at feeding time 🥰🐾

It's that chilly time of the year! Reliable Red and family have ensured our stray kitties have a warm place to sleep by using straw (thank you Home Depot!) and leftover totes with holes cut out as warm beds. It was a fun mini DIY project! More importantly, it helps keep the fur babies safe and out of the freezing temperatures 😊🥰🐾
