What a great weekend at KarMik Boso working equitation show. A few ups and downs but Amador has grown so much. I am so proud of this special horse receiving a 73% on dressage today!!

We are getting some pretty cold temperatures here in northern Illinois. I have found the best way to keep horses in good shape is 24 hour hay, fresh water, and for a couple of days when the weather starting to either drop or in summer when it takes a big jump up I give all of the horses electrolytes in there feed to keep them drinking. Stay warm and spring is right around the corner!

Ever want to know if your horse has the it factor? Look at Boogie float! He definitely has it !!

Frozen dumpster?? I save my feed and shavings bags during the week and then line bottom of dumpster after pick up. Really helps manure pop out!

For people that are unsure if there horses will eat off of a hay net. The bale on the right is not netted . All three put out at same time. I find this interesting and thought I would share.

Hay Chix nets are awesome!! Use them everywhere! Save hay and mess!! Which all saves money!!

All the horses are in the main pasture!!! I would have taken a picture but they vanished so quick I could see them. They were so happy to be in the big field!!

Great weekend enjoying the Midwest Horse Fair!! Enjoyed seeing great friends an meeting new ones. Watched great demos and got new information. Of course the shopping is always amazing. Until next year!!

So we are at the gas station and my daughter says " Mom is that a pay phone ?" I started laughing. How dated do I feel.

What a crazy weather day. Was able to feed this morning while the rain had stopped. Went back out to put out hay and it was now a blizzard. All the horses are hanging out in shelters and the tender flowers are in stalls that they don't like yet. What a day of weather.
